i recently picked up this game again and started over and was wondering if there is any easy method of getting alakazam or chansy? or do i just have to continuously battle people who give out those packs and hope for the best?

GBC, I believe Bulba, as Idk of anyone that hands out packs in real life for winning... :P

Yes, you just have to keep beating the people that hand out those packs. If I recall correctly, you can't trade in-game for them.

another question regarding this game...i beat the game once but never went to the challenge hall (i simply forgot during the course of the game). will i miss out on the cards you win there now? how can i compete in the challenge hall after beating the final four?

No. There are only a certain number of different cards they give out. It is kind of a cycle. Once you reach the end of the "list", it starts over again.

what determines when they restart the challenge cup? i've only gotten to do one so far which got me a super energy retrieval. do i have to beat the club masters a certain number of times?

Idk what determines it, but I used to check about every half hour to 45 minutes.
