Well I am narrowed down to three guitars I am going to take lessons for.
The three are classical, electric, and acoustic. Now my question is, which one should I take first. My dad tells me I should take classical and he said it is for beginners, but idk. So your advice would be greatly appreciated.:D

one thing to take into consideration is the type of music you want to play. i'm going to guess that you won't want to play a lot of classical guitar music? Acoustic guitars are the best for learning technique, but if you want to play hard rock or metal, you'll really want an electric.

I want to play it all, but I think most likely start out with acoustic.

Classical is great stuff to learn to play, and its fabulous for technique and you WILL bring it with you when you play the other two types. Acoustic is good for stuff to play at parties and can teach you technique too, maybe not as much as classical but still. And electric, well, rock out.
Of these i thinkjust learn what you want to learn first.

Well going from acoustic to electric is no challenge really. I started off on a 12 string myself when I was young, just because playing came fairly natural for me. Once I went on to the electric and learned my scales and soloing then I touched onto classical for a while with my class.

Well, I have a classical, an acoustic and an electric, and I can tell you that starting on classical lessons is great. After you learn the basic techniques, you can start learning tabs (unless you already know them), learn to play some of your favourite songs on the classical and then, if you want, transfer them to the electric. It makes the whole thing a lot easier. However, steel-stringed acoustics are good if you want an electric-y sound without getting an amp out.

I would say start acoustic if your budget can't allow any wiggle room for an electric and an amp, because those things can get pretty expensive. I started out with an acoustic Epiphone, and it's held up extremely well. Even though I play almost exclusively electric now, my acoustic has rarely even needed to be retuned when I pick it up.
