Gren seriously joined the Diablos, got trained (and barely had enough time to post, he was seriously like we are now with fights...), then stayed around up till the first war, which we owned, then we didn't here from him, as lance said, unless we were at war... he was like a Diablo Merc... only he was contracted...

That's about how my C&CW career was until I joined here. I merced for Warlordz Reborn, got my first loss to Xu. Then I merced for SOLDIER, ShinRa, and The Bouncers. Then I joined Xu's Elite Samurai and made the Stealth Lancers. Later, we merged both and made the Stealth Samurai. This was around the golden age. Then Xu up and left and me and Cid Highwind held the place together. Then Cid left and I was left SS which fell apart. About that time I merced my last war with Shinra during their last war with you guys and then joined Diablos after that.

AngelicX (Sky)- Great friend of mine, helped him refine some of his skills, and had an awesome fight at the now-defunct Ignite.
Author X- I KNOW he had another name, I just cant figure it out. I'd have more if I knew it...
Blind Guardian- Man oh man, Ben and I joined up about the same time. Several battles between the two of us...me usually for SOLDIER and him for ShinRa. Behind-the-scenes disagreements as well. Not to mention the vampire covan clan he made, where there was a power struggle between him, Me, and Gloom.
Captain Jack Sparrow- Same story as Author X.
Charizard's breath- Always more of a Diablos junkie, I believe. Didnt know him too well, seeing as how I stayed away from that clan for the longest time.
coolgrinch- Me and Kev were buddies. Always on the same side of the war, and always had the witty sub-text banter. More a MSN friendship, but we had our good times in ShinRa as well.
DarkShadow- Sounds SO familiar...ShadowX, maybe?
Diabolique- Heh, Ant and Fly's plaything. Fun times in Ant's clan.
Dragon_Knight X- Not sure on you. I think we had some interaction, but I'm a little fuzzy as to where.
FalconStorm- Little bit after my time.
Gloom-is-good - Talk about history. I met her at school, brought her here shortly after we started dating. Taught her the basics and let her shine from there. Had some great times in The Demon Outlaws, SOLDIER, and ShinRa.
Hero of Time- Diablos junkie, and once again, it seems I missed out.
Ice Maiden- Hardcore from my time. Never had the chance to fight her, but damn she could battle.
Insanefly- Another multi-forum friendship, the most recent being AudioSubculture. Fought him twice, with a win and a loss. Most put us on par for the most part, before I started pulling ahead when he declined. Handed me one of my 4 losses.
Kalinar Ainura- The second part of our Trilogy and my "Light" counterpart. His traditional sword was Aya Culex, while mine was Dae Hyanda...basically, we fought with two characters only and chronicled a history between the two. Handed me one of my four losses.
Kanis- I know I know 'em, I just dont know how. Another screename, maybe?
Lax_Kid- No clue.
Lorn Karnel- Sounds vaguley familiar, but still not sure.
Lucifer Pyrifax- I know you came after my time and probably before me as well and I know we never fought because, basically, I was intimidated. I've seen your work and it's badass.
Meathos- Werent you the one who was tripping at FF because we'd never met and you saw me as a legend? :p
Moebius- Moe, Moe, Moe...most inconsistent member in all of C&C. We started like, 8 fights and only finished one. Dissapointments.
Moridin- Mori, I'm sure you know our history. You explain. ;)
Nemesis Outline- Another I'm not sure about. Before or After?
Omni- I know the name again, but not sure how...clarification?
Panther- First time I met him, was at GWo. Then I started seeing him around here and mainly in Diablos. Which I didnt go to because it was too damn big.
Ravvo- Man, me and Rav had some good stuff together. I think we had two fights, one which wasnt finished.
remembermeimthatonegirl- When I was new 'round these parts in '01 and joined SOLDIER, she was the one who showed me what to do. Sooo...basically, she's the one ya'll have to blame for bringing the phenom. :D
Re'Ya'Salkas'Yassin'Huine- Salka and I had history in one of Fly's clans. Not sure which and I'm positive we never fought, but I know she was great.
Rob64- Heh, we had issues over AngelWings8. Best the rest was left unsaid, especially upon retrospect and seeing the immaturity.
SaturnAngel- No clue. At all.
Shadowspirit- THE WINNER OF THE INTERNETS~! :p
Shino-...Yeah, lets move on. Never got along with this shmuck.
Shinta- I KNOW you had another name, I just cant place it. Clairty, please?
Smaugy_The_Dark- Man, another that developed into a friendship. Hell, one of my best. I tutored him at the beggining, after joining his little ragtag band of Demon Outlaws. Fought him once at the beggining, in a decisive victory.
SSJ2 Vegeta- Veggie. All's need to be said. ;)
Strider- Me and Strider go WAY back too. Back to Ant's clan and SOLDIER. He helped me refine me craft as swordfighter13.
The Crow- Same story as Author X...
TwistedShadowX- Man, I remember us fighting in Shane's Jedi clan Civil War. He almost had me there for a little bit.
Tyrant Alpha- Had a little interaction, mainly through Fly. Had more at Ignite and he basically started stalking me. Had to block the kid.
Warrior of Jah- Had his own clan that I merced for, I believe..
White Raven- No clue. Other name, maybe?
Will Turner- Also a bit after I retired. But the work is great.
Wyzegy- We had two fights, one that never saw the third post and one that was a draw.

For somebody who "stayed away from Diablos" you sure have a lot of history with a lot of its members.

For the few that I can help you out with though:

Dragon_Knight_X was a Diablo, so its possible you fought him in one of our wars. He's been around forever (his activity lasted until just recently, but he'll pop back up sometime).

Kanis has always been Kanis, though he's had some usernames on the side. I can't begin to list them all here.

Lax_Kid had another name, but I can't remember it. He spent most of his time in GameWinners World, when it was first around.

Nemesis Outline was after your time.

Omni had a clan here at one point...can't remember what its name was...Church of Omni? Or something like that? He was a mod at C&CW for a while. He was a bit before your time though.

Shinta's old name...christ. He was in Diablos for god knows how long. But I don't think I'll remember it. We've just always called him Little Josh.

The Crow's old name was Animefan68, Mikau, and a few others somewhere in there. He mainly stuck around Diablos, so you might not know him.

I also remember your's and Zedgar's RPB in SOLDIER v. Diablos. It was a really great battle, if I had a top ten RPBs I've witnessed, it would be in it. I remember because prior to that I had never heard of you, simply because I mainly kept my nose in Diablos business.

Yep, just cause I stayed out of the uber-clan didnt mean I didnt know a lot of em. I know I fought FOR ya'll once or twice, but for the most part, I kept away. I'm more of a behind-the-scenes kinda guy.

And thanks for the props on the Zedgar fight. Most people didn't know who I was until I accepted a challenge, and then a flood of people came in and linked my old posts. Funny thing, how that works out.

That's why I wish I'd been more of an RPer back when the best guys were around. We're trying to keep the RPing scene alive today with whatever we can do, but there aren't alot of people who will finish fights or join RPs who we could learn from anymore. Looking back earlier in the topic (you know how us oldies get nostalgic), I would like to nominate Gren.

We were talking about him right at the last split. Here (http://forums.gamewinners.com/forums/showthread.php?p=6905383#post6905383) is where The Crow nominated him, but for some reason instead of anybody actually seconding him we just started talking about who we thought Gren was (I accused Xelly and Panthy, they accused me, Fly, grinch, wyzegy, etc.).

Fact of the matter is, we don't have any proof Gren was anybody other than Gren, so I think he deserves to be on the list.

So consider this a second to Kris's nomination in the last thread. Do I hear a third? If anybody else remembers him...

You guys have it all wrong. If either of the N64 Zeldas were "rushed" it was OoT. OoT was essentially a carbon copy of A Link to the Past for SNES. Not to knock OoT at all, it's fantastic.

But MM exhibited a much more intricate game world than OoT and had a GREAT deal more character depth/development. Not to mention a particularly refined and awesome gameplay element (time travel) not present in any other Zelda game (save the Oracle bastards).

All that said I don't like one more than the other. Whenever I want to play one, I play them both. I think the complement each other extremely well, and combined are easily my favorite "Game + Sequel" combo of any series.

We both kind of introduced new ideas, since I think the more realistic stuff is relatively new, and I decided to keep it pretty real with the ability to pick up a different weapon.
