Best Mario Sports Game?

I just want to know what people's Favorite Mario sports games are. Mine is Mario hoops 3-on-3. It is amazing, much better than I thought it would be. I heard Super Mario Strikers was good too, although I never played it. Also, Why do you think they never did a Mario football game?:yoshi: :luigi: :bowser:

Best Mario Sports game is 'Super Mario Strikers' by far! I currently have it and I am liking it. This game is already challenging enough when going against the CPU; wish there was a multiplayer mode though.

Sorry, my bad...Nintendo was obviously lacking online gameplay support via the GameCube's Broadband-Adapter in some games.

Of course. As a matter of fact, I think the Wii is going to have games that support multiplayer via Wi-Fi or Broadband adapter. Oh, and there is 'Mario Strikers Charged' game coming out for the Wii!.

The "Best Mario Sports Game" thread all depends on what specific 'sports' people like; so there is no "best sports game". This quote I am already mentioning about seems to fit this thread better though. My favorite sports are Soccer and Basketball by the way. *Mario Tennis* along with *Mario Strikers* seems to be more-preferable by me, and for a Mario-sported game as well.

Also, Why do you think they never did a Mario football game?
I think because it wouldn't fit into the "Mario-Characters' movement feel". I guess there would be too much running around on the field in that kind of sport called 'Football'. And I thought the Mario-Characters needed to be somewhat tough and somewhat big and heavy-weighted for them to play Football?...now imagine Mario/Wario/Luigi/WaLuigi and Princess Peach/Daisy playing Football? Baseball kinda fits them better so that is why there is a 'Mario Superstar Baseball' game instead...:wink:

Yeah, I knew what you were talking about anyway since you stated that earlier in your very first post. Make sure the 'thread' matches what you are going to talk about in your 'posts'. Call your thread whatever you like even though!

NO...Mario Kart qualifies for 'racing' because it is indeed in-fact 'racing'...:bah: For further non-proof, look at at the bottom section of Wikipedia Here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mario_Superstar_Baseball); you will see that "Sports spin-offs" has 'Kart Series' listed (that looks absurdly wrong). For further proof, research using Wikipedia on any Mario Kart game and it will have the genre of a 'Racing game' or Here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Mario_sports_games)...:wink: Unless Kart racing seems to be relate to sports such as Horse racing? (doubt that!)

For Mario Strikers Charged?...yes indeed! Yup there is an online-gameplay mode. Proof here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mario_Strikers_Charged); see Mode(s) to the right of your screen on the table.

Nah, it ain't a "Mario-Sports game". It is an 'NBA Street sports game' instead...but anyway, it qualifies since it had Mario Characters. But there were real-life people though, and Nintendo didn't even made the game themselves...only EA Sports BIG did.

Yeah, just as what I thought. Tennis is a fun sporting-game to play, even in real life.

That's a horrible idea if you look at Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dance_Dance_Revolution:_Mario_Mix) under 'Genre(s)'. And how could a music-dancing game, especially in real life, considered to be a "sport" anyway? This idea is much worser than the 1st one.
