Im not an RPG fanboy but the game Crystalis has stuck in my mind for years as my fave. I hate having to build up levels to fight certain enemies but the story of being frozen in time to save the future world is pretty epic.

Maniac Mansion was so original and great too. Loved how it was possible to complete the game in so many ways.

super mario bros. 3 was my all time favorite and always will be. it was the best mario game created in its time and more. it sold like over 7 million copies in the u.s. alone. im lucky i bought the game from my friend for 5 bux cuz now its worth like more than 70 dollars on ebay.

Its not worth 70 bucks but the scumbag dealers try to rip people off by trying to charge that much. The same kind of people who try to charge 8 dollars for shipping for a game.

You guys haven't mentioned Solomon's Key yet. That game kicks arse!

Additionally, I like the Mega Man series a whole lot. I have all six of them, which is pretty awesome.

And of course Super Mario Brothers (especially 2) and Duck Hunt.

Wow, I haven't played the NES in a couple years.

My favorites were:
The Legend of Zelda-even if I had no idea what I was doing.
Super Mario Bros. 3
Wrecking Crew
Kung Fu- I'm terrible a Kung Fu, but it sure is fun to try.

I'm not a big sports fan when it comes to NES, but Blades of Steel was such a fun game to play. And for shooters, there's like a hundred, but no one knows about them, Hogan's Alley, Wild Gunman, To the Earth, Target Range, and possibly the best shooter was Freedom Force, though it is very very hard.

No good sports games, what about Super Tecmo Bowl, Baseball Stars, and Blades of Steel, or Arch Rivals. They may not be the most realistic but they epitomize easy play control and hours of fun.
