As PWW’s “Dawn of Destiny” continues, the cameras are taken to a dark room in the backstage area. Sounds can be heard, grunting, the sounds of flesh hitting… something? As the cameras run across the dimly lit room, a single man can be seen, sending his legs and fists into the post standing in front of him. The man, standing at about 6 feet tall, has straight long blonde hair. At closer observation, it can be viewed that the man is KANSHI, the man who, last week, made an impressive debut in Pro Wrestling Warriors in a match against Matt Woodson. As KANSHI continues sending his limbs, even in the dark room bruises can be seen building on his shins and knuckles. And even through this, he begins to speak.
KANSHI
Last week, the people here in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania caught a glimpse of the future. They saw the beginning of a legacy, as I dominated my opponent Matt Woodson. When I sent my knee right into his head, they saw, in glorious fashion, the truth of what it means to be a Perfect Warrior.
KANSHI sends a final huge kick into the post before placing his foot on the ground and facing the camera.
KANSHI
That was just the beginning. The reason Matt Woodson lost, wasn’t because I was better than him, although I am. It wasn’t because he lacked training, which he does. It’s not because he is not a warrior, which he isn’t. The reason Matt Woodson really lost was because his mind was not on the match. He places his priority, not on being the best, but by being good. By being great. Not being Perfect. And the only way anyone here can hope to overcome me, is by being Perfect. You see, he will probably tell you that he was just having an off day. His heart wasn’t in the match. But, if this is true, than why was he in the ring with me in the first place? You see, I never have an off day.
KANSHI sends a straight forward kick into the post, cracking it.
KANSHI
You see, to him, this business isn’t about the competition. It isn’t about the clashing of bones, the drawing of blood. For him it’s about the money that comes with it. To him, it’s about the fame, the women he gets by being on television. That kind of behavior sickens me. I am in this business because I thrive on competition. I am here because I want to find someone who is better than me. When I find this, it will push me to be better than what I am. You see, he being beaten does not push him. It doesn’t show him that he is not great.
KANSHI spins and launches a backhand, followed by a forward punch into the post, cracking it yet again. He looks at his hand and holds it up for the camera to see. Blood can be seen dripping.
KANSHI
This is what I live for. The pain, the competition, the feeling that comes with victory. It is the only addiction I have, and the only thing that keeps me going. I place myself through the harshest conditions to become better than I was before. I have went beyond my limits on numerous occasions. These people, they are so content with their lives, they gorge themselves on food, alcohol, drugs. They fall for the talk of men who have no business talking. Things like politics, religion. Material things in all, even the words people spew from their mouths. People have forgotten what it means to be a warrior. People have forsaken their most primal instincts to live in the comfort of their own homes. But, tonight, I face someone who… dare I say comprehends what I say? I face a man known as Darius Falcon.
KANSHI jumps into the air and hits a spinning back kick right into the side of the post.
KANSHI
Darius, I listened to your words earlier tonight. This man understands the folly that has become the Human race. He knows what it means to be a warrior. He does not proclaim to, but he does. He does not carry the weight of addiction like the people that surround this arena. You see, this person is the only one I have seen that truly understands. Darius, I, too, look forward to the truly classic engagement that will surely take place this night. My blood is boiling just thinking about it. I will meet you in the ring, but know this. The ending to our match is already written, I wish you to know. Despite this, please, bring all that you can, so that when I defeat you I feel as if I worked for it. And now… your time is up.
Before the camera fades to black, a final attack on the post is seen. KANSHI again jumps into the air, this time towards the post, and sends his foot right through the post, shattering it in the process.
