Hey guys.
I'm a guitar player who digs pinch harmonics, but sucks at actually DOING them. I'm pretty sure I've got the procedure correct, so my question is about whether there might be strings or pickups better suited for pulling off pinch harmonics? I've got Slinky strings and Seymour-Duncan pickups on my Schecter.

Well, of course, the hotter the pickup the better it will pick it up. But that really doesn't matter. It just takes practice, man.

These are really difficult to get it took me awhile and I still have trouble with them sometimes....it just takes alot of practice and the main thing is theres a sweet spot on the string for each note to really get it full and let it ring out. That's just at least what I noticed...just sit there and practice some pickups don't have a very wide range on them the stock pickups on my guitar didn't at all I put Dimarzio evolutions on it and they got alot better but the range still isn't full. Dimarzio X2N have amazing range if you put one at the neck my friend has a Ibanez JEM and he has a X2N at the neck and an Evo at the Bridge it's butter doing them on his guitar but that's no surprise....with what kind it is and the pickups and how hot they are. The thing mainly is you just need to practice practice practice and think in this way that even the littlest improvement is still improvement hope this helps.
