Sometime during Revival you see a video package on the Titan-Tron. You see clips of some one training. You see a man in almost perfect physical condition running up and down stairs. He gets to the top and stops. He looks down into the camera.

Most of you don’t know who I am. Most of you don’t really care who I am. I am John Black. I really couldn’t give a rat’s ass about you people.

The crowd boos.

Boo me all you want, but tonight when my music hits and I make my way down to the ring and beat the living Jesus out of my opponent and you see how great I am…

He pauses for dramatics.

Black
You will worship me…

He pauses once again.

Black
Otherwise you’ll meet a black death.

He turns away from the camera and continues training. Then on the Titan-Tron you see clips of the move, John Black calls the Black Death. You see the looks on the crowds face, and then Revival cuts to a commercial.

This is my new character so OOC’s welcome. Should I stick with him or should I change his gimmick to something else?

Hmm. I don't know if I really like it. Not because the gimmick isn't bad, but because you left about 99% of the gimmick untapped. You didn't really say too much, and it came off as being really, really generic.

I mean, if this guy honestly believes he is Christ, I'd expect him to go on about himself and his inferior opponent for more than a couple of lines.

Not only that, but the whole promo just had a heavily generic vibe. You might want to look into expanding the gimmick and really thinking about how a guy like this would act. Remember, we aren't sports-entertainment/some G-rated third-wheel of a brand that's kid-oriented. You can say whatever the f*ck you want, pretty much... Well, as long as it complies with the basic GW rules.
