A camera walks up on Adam Pugh, in the hall. He has a brush in hand, a palette in his left. He has his hair cut shorter then when he was in WHW, his hair looks exactly like Shelley’s did when he debuted the camera gimmick. He has on black fingerless gloves with a red Nautical star on it, and a red stripe half an inch from the end of the glove on his right arm he has two sweet bands, one with three white stars a little above the gloves, and one with three red stars below the elbow. He has on a grey tee with “Edge” across it, a black belt that says “Drug Fxxxing Free”, and light blue pants, with some pant splattered on it. His shoes are black converse with white pinstripes. He has painted a very dark and almost gothic like mural on the wall and part of his door. He starts talking, while still painting.

Adam Pugh
Tonight Adam Pugh debuts in Pro Wrestling Warriors, at Revival. Tonight I face Matthew Voltaire and Tyler Hart. I have a grave warning though. When I’m in the ring, it is like watching Da Vinci at work. I am an artist, and to be an artist in the ring, means to leave everything in it. Never leave straight answers, only straight points. Have it question physics, culture, and authority. Never once allow a mistake to take form in the painting, or else it will become but a small crack on your slate.

He stops, squirts some more paint onto the palette, starts to paint again, and starts talking once more.

Paintings reflect life in all it’s glory, perfection, and weaknesses… Tonight I shall paint a picture exploiting the weaknesses of my opponents, and it will leave people questioning their hiring onto this promotion. Every artist has to sacrifice just so that they can be accepted and appreciated, and I did mine. I suffered throughout WHW, and now my time has come. I shall dine on the feast that is opened up to me in PWW, as it is a blank canvas, waiting for my brush stroke. Once my brush dips in the paint, prepare to be amazed, prepare for an After-Shock of proportions that has yet to be seen in the modern world.

He stops, looks as if the mural is missing something, scratches his chin with the end of the brush then begins talking and painting again.

The ability of an artist to dramatically change his environments and still find success, is one that brings out the true star, the dominating factor is always consistency, and I am consistent…Tyler, I have never heard of you, and quite frankly, I feel you are nothing, fleeting like the memory of a spring day captured by the stroke of a brush so long ago. Voltaire, it seems that we are destined to run into each other, first in WHW, though we never fought, but of course, tonight, you will find out why it was better left that way.

Pauses again, this time going over to the door, removes his nameplate, and starts painting his name to go with the mural.

Adam Pugh will of course due this. For tonight, my destiny is to prove to the fans of PWW, as well as everyone in the back, that I am a contender, and if you want a fight come prepared.

He finishes the name, and turns to the camera for the first time..

Adam Pugh will win this match... and there will …be… no… alternative!

Adam stares at the camera, then turns around to look at his work, before entering the locker-room to get changed.

OOC: No IC, OOC welcome, and I changed Pugh's promo to an artist obviously, for those that have seen my earlier Pugh stuff, tell me whether this is better, or I should go back to his old gimmick.

I liked the previous gimmick in WHW, but this is also very interseting.

I love this character a lot, man. At the beginning, I'm thinking, "Oh god, he's starting out like Jay Lethal" when you said "Tonight, I'm facing..." blah blah blah. I generally hate when people start out so generically. But it REALLY picked up, and I gotta say, I think this character could be something.

I'd rather you stick with this gimmick for now and try to work it even better and make it something special than revert to the old one, as I honestly wasn't a big fan of the old gimmick.

Honestly, the main mistakes I can see here are grammatical, and it may have been just... a hair long, really. Only because the second paragraph seemed repetitive did it make the promo seem drawn out.

I really enjoy this character though, man, and what makes it even better is that it's original.

Thanks, I really love the gimmick too, but YEah, the grammar I am constantly working on and I will keep the length and repetitiveness of it for the next promo. Thanks for the comments though.

Another thing I did notice, though, was the usage of real wrestlers to describe your wrestler. I'd refrain from that. Instead of saying "he has hair like Alex Shelley," try describing the hair itself. Be a bit more descriptive than comparing him to real wrestlers, as they don't exist in this realm.

Wow, I didn't even pick up on the Shelley referance, thanks for pointing it out, I'll remember that for the next promo, and I have to say, man am I gonna have fun with this gimmick! De-faceing public property with murals, who doesn't like that? Especially the really artistic stuff, not the graffiti.

:bump:

I loved the promo man. The gimmick is awesome. The only thing I don't like about it is the ending line. It worked in the old gimmick, but doesn't seem to fit this one.
