Mr. Pokemon: Very nice choice. That is an egg that should hatch into some kind of psychic pokemon. I had to go to great lengths to find that one.

What will you do now?

Edit: Grr... I can never get Psychic right the first time...

[Mr. Blue!]

Kurtis: I'm gonna get outta here. I think I want to go catch some pokemon!

[Nollid]

You walk out of Mr. Pokemon's and head towards the trees. You wander around aimlessly, looking for pokemon. You hear a rustle slightly to the left and behind you. Whizzing around, you look for the source of the sound. Seeing nothing you turn around and take another step. Then you hear the rustle again.

What do you do? Look for the source, or continue on your way?

[Mr. Blue!]

Kurtis: This is starting to bug me. Let's check it out.

[Nollid]

Advancing on where you tihnk the source is, the rustling disturbs your thoughts once again. Scuttling out of the grass you see a Spinarak. It comes over to you and looks up at you. As if he had judged you on something and you failed, he turned around, not giving you a second thought as he shuffled back towards the high grass.

Fight it, or ignore it and keep on looking for other pokemon?

[Mr. Blue!]

Kurtis: Ick. I hate spiders. Let's move on.

[Nollid]

You turn around and be on your merry way. You hear the sounds of a battle in the distance. You jog forward and look for the origin of the sound. Peeking around a tree, you see a clearing with a trainer and a large Hoppip in it. You see the trainer toss a pokeball at the large Hoppip. At the other side of the clearing, you see a Ledyba.

Challenge the trainer, or go after the Ledyba?

[Mr. Blue!]

Let'a talk to the kid and see what he's doing.

[Nollid]

Trainer: Hey! My name's Dustin! You wanna have a pokemon battle?

The kid stares at you with pleading eyes. The Ledyba turns around and begins to scuttle back into the undergrowth.

Do you accept his challege or go after the Ledyba?

[Mr. Blue!]

Kurtis: Sure, let's go. I'll use Elekid.

[Nollid]

The trainer throws a pokeball and out comes a Makuhita. The Makuhita looks around, and then uses Focus Energy. After completing Focus Energy, he sprints towards Elekid, and then jumps into the air, speeding towards Elekid.

[Mr. Blue!]

Elekid, use quick attack to dodge and then attack with it. Try and use your ability on him!

[Nollid]

Elekid scrambles out of the way using quick attack, and then lunges at Makuhita using the same move. Makuhita isn't quick enough to dodge, and gets hit with the quick attack. Little bolts of electricity surround Makuhita, and it is paralyzed. The trainer doesn't seem to care, though.

Trainer: Well... at least Makuhita's still got his abilty.

The trainer smiles. He is referring to guts. Makuhita may be paralyzed, but his attack is even more powerful. The small electricity bolts are zapping Makuhita, but he manages to shake it off for now. Makuhita charges, preparing for a tackle.

[Mr. Blue!]

Okay, Elekid, Thunderpunch!

[Nollid]

(I really hate homework...)

Elekid lunges at Makuhita hitting it with thunderpunch. Makuhita goes flying back, and seems to shake his head as he recovers. He doesn't attack.

[Mr. Blue!]

Elekid, Quick Attack.

[Nollid]

Elekid lunges at Makuhita and Makuhita goes flying back, landing at Dustin's feet. Makuhita is battered and bruised, and Dustin withdraws Makuhita back in his pokeball.

Dustin: Good battle. I'll see you later!

You: What about that Hoppip you just caught?

Dustin: Oh! I'm out here for my father. I caught that for him. He studies pokemon. If I use that, I'll get in so much trouble. You can come back to my house if you want, my Dad's been experimenting with a couple things lately. I might be able to convince him to give you something.

Dustin walks off.

Follow Dustin back to his house, or do something else?

[Mr. Blue!]

Let's go with him to his house.

[Nollid]

You follow him to his house, and he leads you in the door.

Dustin: Dad! I'm home! I caught the Hoppip and I brought a friend!

His dad comes down the stairs and looks at you. He appears to be analyzing you. He looks at Dustin and nods.

Dad: Choose whichever one you like.

Dustin quickly runs off and comes back with a pokeball. This pokeball didn't look normal though. The bottom was white, and the top was green with four red dots and one yellow one.

Dustin: Here you go.

You: What is it?

Dustin: It's a friend ball. It'll make the pokemon you catch it with like you more.

You thank Dustin and his dad and leave.
