The competitors will receive points according to their placement in each round.
10 points for 1st, 7 for 2nd, 4 for 3rd, 2 for 4th and 1 for 5th.

Description:
We all start off somewhere, and the old skool borders are usually where we start. This round will see if you can still remember the basics. Remember - they're meant to be blocky!

I would've voted for Lacoste's first. And I do like his second, but I can't vote for it knowing he didn't make the render. And besides the render there's nothing else to the sig. So I vote Volant.

VK's: It's good, but again I think he's tried to be too flash with his work, don't think it paid off this time. I still expect it to get the most votes though, because people like flash.

HR's: Simple, nice colour use... but it doesn't strike me. The colour you used just cries out 'DULL'. I did say it was good colour use, but it's just a dull and boring colour.

L's: I like the 3d look... but like I said with HR the colours are just... dull and doesn't reach out to me.

CB's: This reminds me of coca-cola for some reason and I LOOOOOOVE coca-cola. Dull colours... but they seem to work better than L and HR... it kinda hits me and I go... wow... ish :tease:

V's: simple border, nice pic, good smudgeing... I like it. Sorta simple too and I like simple.

DM's: Bad choice of colour I think. Should've made your own gradient map.

S's: Simple, which I like. But I think the red is a little too vivid for me. maybe if you faded it a bit, tried to make it almost match the blue or something.

Choice between VK and Scott. I like Scott's style in this one, but the one VK made looks awesome too... I'm not gona vote just yet, maybe later today

CB came in third. I liked his idea, but the border is just too plain...

Ok, i couldn't choose between VK and Scott. But because of this i'll vote for VK, because otherwise it would be no fair...

i agree, i would have wanted something red, but like you said brown went the best with the picture.

I'm stuck between VK and Lacoste. HR's text colour sort of spoils it, a gold would have gone with the wood-like brown. Scott's looks like something I've seen before.
I have a couple of days though...
