Just so you guys know: You can change your starters as long as you don't do anything with a player who has already played (or started playing.) For example, if you didn't start Hines Ward, but he has an outstanding game tomorrow, it's too late to change him; however, you'd be able to substitute someone like Donovan McNabb in as long as his game hasn't started. It's pretty straightforward, but I felt the need to clarify this.
Unless Sonic states otherwise, his starters are as follows:
QB
Brett Favre - Packers
RB
Edgerrin James - Cardinals
DeShaun Foster - Panthers
WR
Randy Moss - Raiders
Javon Walker - Broncos
TE
Dallas Clark - Colts
DL
Dwight Freeney - Colts
Trevor Price - Ravens
LB
London Fletcher - Bills
A.J. Hawk - Packers
DB
Champ Bailey - Broncos
DeAngelo Hall - Falcons
K
Billy Kundiff - Packers
Util
Kellen Winslow Jr. (Offense) - Browns
Al Harris (Defense) - Packers

... that would take the whole purpose of this thread away. Of course bench players don't count!

Also, Lets say Chester Taylor (My RB)'s game ends. Can I promptly switch him after it, for Portis..who's game hasn't started yet?

*Uses breath spray*
... okay that was really bad.
Nope. You can't do anything with a player who has begun (or finished) playing their game. That's part of what makes fantasy football exciting. :)
James89
September 7th, 2006, 07:16 PM
Have you ever played before XZ? You cant take out a player cause he did bad and put one in cause he did good.

Everything is going wrong in tonight's game. I knew I should have taken Joey Porter instead of James Farrior... oh well, this is just one game. On the bright side, Willie Parker got over 100 yards. Unfortunately, he hasn't scored any touchdowns.
Gabby Jay
September 7th, 2006, 10:26 PM
How about Ronnie Brown? 60 all purpose yards and two TDs. It's a meh game, but good to me, seeing as he's goin up against a tough steeler defense.
Willie Parker looks pretty good. I doubt he will score a TD this week though. He's chewing up yards good. If they would've accepted Saban's challenge, I bet he would have one though.
BigDaddy

Exactly. Just about everything went wrong for me tonight. Culpepper gets down near the end of the game and needs to throw. Good, I can get points. But no, he throws two straight interceptions. Now watch Eli Manning (my other quarterback) light up the Colts Sunday night.

September 8th, 2006, 12:35 AM
The Dolphins disappointed me. I picked them in my weekly football pool. I was feeling good about it when they were up 17-14. Then, the D kept pissing me off. The CB that got called on the hands to the face, then the penalty on the play after. And then the stupid Refs didnt see the flag. WTF is up with that? "O we dont see it do it dont count." What kind of BS is that? Thats what really pisses me off. Stupid Refs.
EDIT: At least I got Porter in the Yahoo league I am in with my uncle. He got my 12.5 points, so there was some good in the Steelers winning.
smashbro14
September 8th, 2006, 05:34 PM
Zach Thomas got me (I think) 17 points, and Kevin Carter was solid, but damn. I can't believe I didn't start Porter. 2 sacks and an interception return for a touchdown?! Eh, I always mess up the first week.
The Eye in the Sky!
September 8th, 2006, 07:25 PM
I love how many people have been jumping off the Dolphins bandwagon already. Having never been close to it, it makes me smile. Willie Parker looks strong, though. And since I am against BigDaddy this week, I'm so glad that Culpepper threw those INTs.

...You're getting like 15 points or so out of heath miller..big deal.
Personally, I am hoping Chester Taylor has a big game against the skins, because he's due...and..to spite smashbro. (Hmm...Portis is too be 100% for game 2, Perfecto)
Also, I have polamalu. Now..compare our defenses plz, O M Gawd!

Oh please. The whole "Raider Fans are Dumb..duhhhh" arguement.
But yeah, Honestly speaking..with Brooks at the helm, I don't see the Raiders winning a lot this year. Thank god Shell likes to run it..less chance if Brooks getting the ball.
Just start Walter damnit. Let him just get in there.
James89
September 8th, 2006, 09:22 PM
Yea, the sooner Walker gets in there, the sooner you guys can decide to take Brady Quinn in the draft.
Two Raiders fans, a Chargers fan, and a (me) 49ers fan. Its even better that the Niners play both in SF. Should be a whole bunch of fun. California FTW.

Yeah, but Brooks still has to successfully take the snap and hand it off. :D
Steve Smith didn't practice again Friday, and he's a game time decision for Sunday. I don't want to take a chance on him, so for now I would like to start Lee Evans instead of Steve Smith.
My starting wide receivers for Week 1:
Terry Glenn - DAL
Lee Evans - BUF
Andre Johnson (Utility) - HOU

I don't know where James has been, but here are the current scores after the Thursday night game in case anyone wanted to see how many points their players put up.
The Velociraptors (0) vs. PICK A TEAM NAME ALREADY (0)
The Troopers (41) vs. The Laughing Mules (0)
Sexy Mother F’ers (0) vs. Deja Entendu (0)
The Hard Hittaz (45) vs. Wildboyz (40)
The Smashbr-Owners (24) vs. Hot Dice (0)
Doom (6) vs. The Purple $corpions (0)
Hehe, Raiders fans.
I'm normally only going to be doing six people a week, with James doing the other 6, but I was just putting in the stats for my people from Thursday night's game and I thought I'd mine as well just do the other 6 because James wasn't on.
EDIT: I also want to clarify something. Unless James doesn't want to, we'll allow transactions to be made while a "week" is going on, but they will only come into effect when the final game ends. I'll edit this into the first post of the Rosters/Transactions thread if James tells me he's okay with this.
