^_^ I'm useing dark knight, a little modified from how she was it has been a few years that I've had to reallly refine and tweak the character, also how long a fight would you like to have? as I said I haven't rpb'd in forever. I think I remember just haveing atack post after attack post untill a judge said who could make a kill post... I think that was the first rough rules in place when c&cw started....

Kaeil sniffed at the air, his quarry was still several days ahead of him maybe as much as a week. An odd scent caught a draft of wind and puzzled the hunter, he couldn’t discern where it had come from nor why he hadn’t picked it up sooner. Kaeil craned his long neck around in an attempt to see this new presence, however nothing was moving save for the tall grasses that swayed methodically in the gentle winds. The hunter growled softly, a sound like rocks tumbling in an earthen pot, and looked around further in search of a higher vantage point to try to find the interloper. Straining his weak draconic eyes he caught the dim haze of something broad and tall, probably a stone pillar of some long defunct temple or a rock growth either way it would suffice well enough. Coming closer to the object he found it was in the end nothing more than a rough rocky hill, common enough this close to the foothills of the northlands. The stone was soft and chalky under Kaeil’s strong talons and he quickly scrambled up to the top, perching like some great bird atop the mossy peak.

From this height the draconian was able to see a shift in the wild wheat field, a place where the grasses bent oddly in the wind, as if something blocked the wind. Kaeil grinned, his needle teeth bared under his dry and cracking lips, this person would have to be dealt with before he could continue the hunt. His employer wanted secrecy and long years as a bountyhunter had taught Kaeil that the best way to provide this was to travel unused roads to avoid contact with any but his quarry and kill those few that stumbled upon him, besides extra deaths along the way helped keep him sharp and provided a valid excuse to demand extra payment when collecting.

Kaeil slowly reached behind his back and grasped the handle of his weapon hanging there, a brutally heavy whip of thick chain links each one sharpened to a fine edge. The metallic clinking sound as he slung the weapon onto the rock platform was relaxing to his ears as was that of all metals, being partially dragon. Another advantage of his lineage was the fabled dragon’s breath, an ability to focus elemental powers into a savage beam that was passed along the bloodline. Kaeil’s own bloodline was that of the Threk’jesh’ough, or Grey Mountain Dragons as the humans do quaintly put it, and he like they focused the pulsing energies of raw eldritch. With luck this squabble would be over shortly by means of his powerful chainwhip or the following magic beam, on the other hand a good worthy fight to rise his blood would be a satisfying way to end his night before trudging deep into the foothills further north in search of the man he hunted.

I'll be getting my post up soon, moveing took a while and I just got back my computer. I'm working on it but it is late so I think I leave it for later, I'm makeing enough typo's as far, I should be wide awake so I dpon't post something that makes me look like a fool or dyslexic or both

The warm wind blew dark knight's long dark brown hair over her shoulder and past her face as she looked over the field. She looked down at the parchment she held and furrowed her brow. It should be nearby... She streched her arms and wings simutainiously. Her wings feathered and golden brown were the only non-human aspect of her form. Her steps light not out of nessecity as she was in the middle of nowhere and the chances of being bothered while looking for the arifact she sought was rare. It was more of a force of habit. She pushed over a small stone with a small symble on it aside and bent over to look at what she may find within and froze.

Someone was watching her. Her wings uncontiously rose slowly inching to a defencive position. The feeling of someone or something watching her with ill intent was strong. She slowly rose and the feeling faded slightly. Her eyes narrowed, either she was imagining things, or whomever it was was intelligent and had noticed she had noticed the gase. Asumeing the later in whatever case would be the most sencible thing to do. She straightened still trying to keep up a slight guise of ignorance and did a casual looking scan of her suroundings. Nothing.

She pulled a small mechanical device from a pouched and glanced at it. The thing was a heat sencitive radar and would tell her if anything was nearby. she glanced at it and taped the glass. Nothing. Maybe I am imaginging things She taped her foot trying to gather her thoughts and put her hand to her hip loosening her sword at the same time.Or... She examined the mechinism and growled in frustration The batery is so damn low it won't pick up a fly She sighed still feeling the gase exaiminging her.

"Might as well come out.." She drew her sword and rolled it in a ark warming up a bit, "I know your there."

Kaeil sneered at the woman, whatever it was she was trying to use was a waste of time. The assassin clenched his cruel talons into the rock precipice, biting deep into the limestone pillar causing small fragments to tumble down the side. A chill of cold ran down Kaeil’s spine as he silently cursed himself inside his head, if that woman was talented enough to survive on her own this far from civilization she’s be attuned enough to her surroundings by now to have heard the faint patter of stone chips falling. He would have to end this now instead of waiting for the best opportunity. She would still die, however it would be a messy and brutal skirmish and that meant that Kaeil would have to rest tonight and fall further behind his quarry.

By the time the thought had raced through his mind the draconian was already high in the air, his inherently light body enabling him to leap unattainable by humans even with the great weight of his weapon added. Drifting almost majestically over the intruder’s head he flicked his wrist and snapped his heavy chain down at the girl, trying to throw his own body at the ground as well. The gamble was rushed and imperfect and the deep growl echoing from Kaeil was hidden by the dull yet still quite loud thud and the length of his chain slammed into the earth crushing the tall grasses underneath it. His cracked lips pulled back in a grimace, needle-thin teeth glinting as if from some inner cruelty.

With a sharp flick of his wrist Kaeil snapped the chainwhip at the woman, swinging his body into a tight circle the weapon followed, missing the woman by a wide margin, with greater momentum built up Kaeil allowed the weapon to fling out further, this time slamming into the woman’s frame with horrible velocity. The dull thud of her body being thrown to the ground was very nearly as sickening as the wet crack of her skin opening up against the bladed edges of the links in the chain. A thin stream of blood flew from the wound, dragged by the chain into the sky and dying the tall grasses a soft red. The damage was far from severe and she would be rising soon. The attack while severe and punishing was never intended to kill though; weaken, shock, horrify, perhaps even break a few bones, but not kill. Kaeil was known for never been noticed while he worked and while he was a talented practitioner of stealth this was more due to the fact that a dragon’s breath tended to annihilate everything including all evidence that someone had actually seen him. Faint streams of energy, pale purplish blue in colour began to flow into the assassin’s fanged maw giving the impression of him drinking some eldritch fluid straight from the air itself. They gathered together into a dense ball of raw magic clenched in between his powerful jaws, steadily growing larger and more focused. This woman as well as the entire population of wildlife that inhabited this wild field wouldn’t live to see the night fall.

Dark knight looked up at Kaeil and saw her predicament and her eyes narrowed her wings arching as she jumped into the air quickly useing her magic to heat up the air beneath her wings to create the updraft needed to acheive flight from the ground. The updraft carried her up fast and she smashed into the drconian just as she pulled the hilt of her blade into place so it would conect with his lower jaw, in a atempt to halt the attack.

She groaned involentarily, the blast had been sent out into the atmosphere by her stunt but the retail of the chain hiting her side as the shockwave from the attack itself sent her into the ground. She slid herself to a stop and straightend her wings beating once to make sure they were not harmed, they wern't a bit sore but not bad. Her other wounds also stung, more so fromt he dirt than from dangerous, he had missed the tendon and though the tear through the muscle weekened her left arm's power, she was right handed so she could still fight.

she bent down slightly with a grimace noting that the left arm was a bit more damaged than she first reconed, her eyes narrowed. Now that won't do leaveing the wound like that will be a weak point, a target.. With cold presicion she appied presure to her left arm and numbed the nerve moveing down till all that were affected were calmed. Her great wings beat and pulled her back a ways the tip of that evil looking chain graseing her cheek.

She looked up and sighed, Guess it's time I turned up the heat a little she had been defencive long enough she shifted her sword to a back hand position and once again creating her own personal updraft took to flying though she stayed low to the ground and picked up speed, she dodged the chain as she suddenly arcked upwards her left hand gathering a small ball of blue flame her right hand holding her sowrd ready to make contact...
