Apparantly Microsoft have managed to get exclusives for the Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (Winning Eleven 11?) and FIFA 07 for the 360.

Microsoft beats Sony and Nintendo 2-0 as it secures exclusive next-gen deals on major footy franchises

Next-gen versions of Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer 6 and EA's FIFA 07 will only release on Xbox 360, according to latest reports.

So says news on trade publication MCV's website, Microsoft has secured a 12-month exclusivity period for both soccer games, which apparently means neither title will release on PS3 or Wii. So, if that's indeed the case, Sony's and Nintendo's next-gen machines will simply have to wait on the sidelines for PES 7 and FIFA 08.

FIFA 07 on Xbox 360 is due to release in the autumn (September), PES 6 the following month.Discuss...

..hmm. I've DEFINITELY heard that PES6 will be on PS3, and haven't heard of any cancellations.

Is that site trustworthy?

I think so. I remember a magazine going by the same name as the site... I'm surprised this news hasn't come out earlier considering that I would have thought that the platform is set early in production.

If they did release on PS3, then I'm sure it would be like Road to World Cup was, with seriously limited features, poor graphics etc.

Seriously dude, I don't believe it at all. Especially since PSW have been running features on PS2 PES for a while now.

PES6 is definitely coming to PS2 though. It's been reviewed already.

The deal only covers next gen consoles.

I find that hard to believe. Regardless though it doesn't really bother me seen as I actually own a 360. As long as I get to play it and it's good I really don't mind which system it is on.

From what I've heard, not entirely sure if it's true, PES6 for the PS3 got about the same fate as SD! vs RAW 07, but they cancelled and instead only PES7 (apparantely already in developement) will come to PS3 as an interly new game not just some port of PES6 with a different name. I'll post if I actually find a link.
