View Full Version : College Football Pick'em

College Football Pick'em. Don't worry, you don't have to pick the winners of 50+ games a week, including that all-important matchup between Louisiana-Lafayette and North Texas. You also don't have to worry about games like Ohio State vs. Indiana; yeah you know Ohio State's going to win, but then you'd have to figure out whether the Buckeyes are gonna cover the spread. None of that here.
For every week including the few Conference Championships, I'll list a bunch of top to mid-tier college football games, games featuring known teams, and games that can go either way. Most weeks it'll be around 10 games or so.

Not a good week for games other than the big one, evident from my using two mediocre in-state rivalries as games. As such, I'm making the big one worth a tiny bit more.
West Virginia (at) Pittsburgh (Thursday)

South Florida (at) Louisville
Maryland (at) Boston College
Auburn (at) Alabama
Kansas State (at) Kansas

Assuming Yue's going all home teams again, everyone has picked:
West Virginia (7-1) Pittsburgh (Yue picking Pitt by default)
Virginia Tech (2-6) Wake Forest
South Florida (0-8) Louisville (you all know the Bulls are gonna win now, right?)
Maryland (5-3) Boston College
Auburn (7-1) Alabama (Yue taking the Tide by default)
Kansas State (7-1) Kansas (same here)
Washington (2-6) Washington State
California (3-5) Southern California
Michigan (2-6) Ohio State

There's only two weeks left in college football's regular season. Twelve games this week, most of which are pretty good or at least interesting.
Boston College (at) Miami FL (Thursday)*
Texas A&M (at) Texas (Friday)
LSU (at) Arkansas (Friday)
Louisville (at) Pittsburgh
Florida (at) Florida State
South Carolina (at) Clemson
Kentucky (at) Tennessee**
Georgia Tech (at) Georgia
Boise State (at) Nevada***
Wake Forest (at) Maryland
Notre Dame (at) USC
Purdue (at) Hawaii
*Can you believe that if Miami loses this game, they won't be bowl eligible (being 5-7 and all?)
**Kentucky is somehow 7-4. Tennessee is 8-3. Huh?
***8-3 Nevada is Boise State's last obstacle to the BCS
Also: I came really close to putting in North Carolina v Duke, but decided against it.

why the hell r we picking this game
1) Hawaii is ranked 25th in the AP Poll.
2) Purdue has 8 wins
3) I needed a 12th game because 11 games is really uneven.

If it wasn't for the five conference championships, this would be a very bad week for games (there's only 17 games total). It's so bad I almost gave everyone a free point by putting in Army v Navy, but decided against it.
Also, this is the final week. The Bowl Games will be made open to the public, but if any of you take part in the Bowl Game pick'em, you'll hold a tiebreaker over everyone else just by being part of this game throughout the entire year.
Lastly, after this week, the six of us still with a bye week can figure out which week to drop to try and bolster our %.
Central Michigan (at) Ohio (Th., MAC Championship Game)
Southern Miss (at) Houston (Fr., CUSA Championship Game)
Rutgers (at) West Virginia

Nebraska (at) Oklahoma (Big XII Championship Game)
