I play bass and sing in a band called "Pirate King", we don't really put a label on ourselves and our influences are so varied it's crazy, it's kinda jazzy funky punky, rocky blusey. We don't have a myspace yet, mostly because we haven't recorded anything. We actually need to find a singer because I feel me singing and playing bass is holding back my bass parts.

Me and a couple friends jam everyonce in a while, and we've been thinkin about startin one. We just need a good drummer, we had a great one but he wanted to play guitar more so he kinda just left.

I'm in two...One is on hold until the bass player gets back from basic training, and the other one I really don't want to be in, because I hate the lead guitar player's attitude. I originally was just doing a favor for my cousin (2nd guitar), playing for his band until they found a decent, permanent drummer, but I just found out they stopped looking for one, which made me pretty mad. I'm almost sure both the singer and bassist don't like what the lead guitarist is doing either, so all three of us might just quit at the same time, but my cousin is really into this band, and I don't want to ruin it for him...If he wasn't in the band I would have quit months ago.

I just want my other band to get back together asap...

I've been trying to start a band back when I was nine. Yeah, I didn't have a clue. Now, I finally have a grasp on reality and my band's shaping up.

I bought a BC Rich and taught myself guitar. I influenced my friend to pick up a guitar so he got a Fender Stratocaster. He plays with his fingers and is a freak of nature. He's one of those guys who is so musically inclined that you can throw him a kazoo and he'll figure out how to play it. So he's good. My bass player recently enlisted on our project. We don't have a live drummer, but in the studio I also play drums because I have a drum set.

We are unique in style. Mainly rock, but it is very broad-spectrum rock. We can go from Aerosmith and Lynard Skynard to Slipknot and Avenged Sevenfold in the blink of an eye. We've been practicing cover songs and we're piecing together our originals. The name keeps changing, though. So right now our band doesn't have a name because we're more concerned with playing the music.

Sounds Emo esqe...What kind of music you play?Christian, but as for musical style, it's hard to say. Emo? You could say that. underOATH influenced without the screaming, Fall Out Boy influenced only more hard rockin. Honestly, we've really developed a unique style, I love it. When I can remember my myspace password, i'll give you guys some ho-made mp3s to listen to.

Ahh, very good, Pirate King is also faith based, at least thats how Adam and I write the lyrics. Not so much a Christian band, but a band of Christians hoping to spread a messege.

Same here. I was a fan of rock and metal since I was 5. The other guitarist liked rap and I was like, "Dude, that blows! Try this!" and gave him some good rock. So I converted him and we like the same things.

However, our bass player is more into older rock bands like AC/DC and Aerosmith, Blue Oyster Cult, etc.

When I drum, I'm influenced by the fast pace of Bad Religion and Avenged Sevenfold and the clear notes and rhythm of, say, System of a Down or something. Except usually I'm on guitar. Drums are my second instrument. But whenever we have a song where we only need one guitar and I can do drums, when it gets all put together, I can't really describe it. It's obviously a type of rock, but we'd create a new sub-genre under rock.

I formed one a couple days ago with a tenor sax player. We're ska band. No name yet, we're still looking for some more horns and a vocalist.

I wanna get into some sort of a metal band at some point though.

In a band in the moment,. well, two but one is half serious. so far we have 7 of our own songs, 6 with lyrics. Its kind of funk rock and rock, some great stuff i think. Two wicked guitarists who also both play bass, so we only need a 3 piece, they just swop instruments mid gig! Singer isnt too bad, but possibly if we got another better one we would replace him to just play guitar/bass. And myself on the drums. Band name is undecided so far, but we are thinking about Ounce as a name.

I'm not REALLY in a band, we need a drummer and vocalist still...

We would be melodeath/thrash/power. We can't decide between Ghidorah or Lethe. If Ghidorah is copyrighted, we'll use Monster Zero.
