Lestat vs Roxanne

You enter the gym, placing charmander's pokeball back onto your belt. It was time to take on the leader...

Lestat: Helllo!!? Where's the-

Suddenly you're cut off as a young girls voice suddenly booms from the far wall, and the floor suddenly converted into a battle arena chock-full of boulders.

Roxanne: Hello, trainer. I'm Roxanne. I was a straight A student at the pokemon school. In fact, I was the valedictorian! Well. I guess you could just say I'm a genious, I mean there wasn't anybody smarter than me...
Lestat: ...
Roxanne: Oops! There I go again, talking about myself. Anyways. This will be a 2 on 2 battle. Here comes the ref.
Ref: Welcome! This will be a 2 v 2 pokemon battle! Each trainer will use ONE pokemon at a time, with the limit of two pokemon being used. Once on trainer has lost both pokemon, the battle is over. There will be no time limit, and the battle is half RPG-half Stats, so creatvity and move effectiveness will come to play! Ready??? FIGHT!

Roxanne: Hehehe. Well then, time to battle! You don't look like a top student to me, so this pokemon should be enough to take you down. Go, Rhyhorn! (Male, level 10)

Lestat: "Hmph. You don't need to be a top student to win Pokemon battles, Roxanne- I choose you, Charmander!" (male lv.10)

Charmander comes out, ready to battle against Ryhorn.

Lestat: "Charmander, use Ember to catch it off-guard, but watch for its attacks- you are at a disadvantage! Stick and move with Ember and keep dodging it!"

[RipTide]

Charmander advances first, and prepares an ember attack. Rhyhorn charges and Charmander unleashes the attack, bouncing harmlessly off of Rhyhorns tough body. A flare gets a little too close to its eyes, however, it it snarls angrily. It continues its charge and Stomps hard on Charmander and follows in with a devastating horn attack.

Charmander: 18/24 HP
Ryhorn: 34/35 HP

Just an FYI so you don't get confused. Rhyhorns HP is so much higher than Charmander's even though they are even levels because of the base stats of their HP. Rhyhorns is 80 whilst Char's is 39...

Lestat: "Charmander, we can't take many more hits like that! Look for the fire sprinklers on the roof and shoot an Ember at them so that they go off and we can put a damper on Ryhorn's parade! Watch out for its attacks- if it tries to stop you, dodge it and go for the sprinkler as best you can!"

PS: I edited to lower both pokemons' max HPs because I was giving them both way too high for the level they're at...

Charmander unleashes emeber at the emergency water sprinklers and the plan works wonders, unleashing blast of water into the gym to put out the suposed fire. Rhyhorn slips and falls as it tries to charge doing good recoil damage to itself. Unfortunately for Charmander the water seriously hurts it too...

Charmander: 14/24 HP
Rhyhor: 26/35 HP

Lestat: "Allright, Charmander, let's try and hold out on this! Go at Ryhorn like you're going to attack, then move at the last second. Since the ground is slippery, when it tries to match you, use your tail to sweep it off at the turn so that it falls and does damage to itself, then get out of the way! You can beat this thing!"

Lucky for you the water stops spraying, so Charmander doesn't take any more damage. And just as you hope the rocky and dirty arena has become full of mud!

Charmander runs straight atop the mud because of its light weight and Rhyhorn tries to charge after it, but can't barely move! It starts to starts to sink into the mud and it hits itself very badly in a desperate struggle. Charmander approaches it and hurts it with ember, but it gets to close and is knocked away with horn attack.

Charmander: 11/24 HP
Rhyhorn: 19/35 HP

*gives Potion to Charmander*

Lestat: "Come on, Charmander, you can beat it! Time to use your light weight and speed to your advantage. Keep sticking and moving with Ember! It's stuck in the mud, so it'll hurt itself trying to beak free. Use Ember on it from a safe distance and keep circling it to avoid being hit if it does get out!"

Charmander takes the potion and looks revitalized. It starts shooting ember at Rhyhorn but ends up doing little damage and the fire heats the ground back to solid dirt! Rhyhorn looks frightened and stuck, but then realizes it's strength and burst out at full stride and pummels the unsuspecting firetype for massive damage.

Charmander: 16/24 HP
Rhyhorn: 16/35 HP

Lestat: "Charmander, hit the sprinklers again! I know it'll hurt you, too but we can win this! You've done a great job so far, buddy- I'm proud of you! Let's finish this up."

Charmander tries to hit the sprinklers again but Rhyhorn keeps charging so Charmander can't get a good shot at them. Rhyhorn finally uses horn attack but Char managers to whip it in the eyes with its fiery tail so both pokemon take damage.

Charmander: 10/24 HP
Rhyhorn: 13/35 HP

*gives Charmander another Potion*

Lestat: "Okay, Charmander, you have to hit those sprinklers! Find a way to make it happen! If it charges at you again, jump on its back and use it to springboard off and hit those sprinklers with Ember!"

[RipTide]

Charmander gets rammed with another horn attack and is about to faint but then takes the potion. Right as Rhyhorn charges again charmander dodges and hits the sprinkler system with ember. Water starts pouring out hurting both Charmander and Rhyhorn, but rhyhorn takes more damage. Rhyhorn starts to sink again and looks very tired.

Charmander: 16/24 HP
Rhyhorn: 2/35 HP

Lestat: "Great job, Charmander! Now, use one last Ember to finish it off! You've done great, buddy!"

[RipTide]

Charmander uses ember on the stuck Rhyhorn, and Rhyhorn barely flinches! The water has ended, so Rhyhorn wasn't KO'd! Rhyhorn bursts out of the ground without so much as a wince, and stares at charmander in an exhausted rage.

Charmander: 16/24
Rhyhorn: 1/35

Lestat: "Damnit, Charmander, we need to end this Rhyhorn once and for all! Use another Ember to distract it and go in for Cut! Watch out for its attacks!"

Charmander unleashes ember, which blinds Rhyhorn but does no damage. Char runs in and finishes with Cut!

Level up +1 for Charmander!

Roxanne: You just got lucky because I went easy on you with a new pokemon. You won't beat this one. Go Nosepass! (Female Level 12)

Charmander: 19/27 <--- boosted thanks to level up
Nosepass: 34/34 <--- much lower base HP than rhyhorn... so even at a higher level, its a lower HP. Nose normally has lower base hp than char, but because of higher level and being a gym poke, it gets a boost.

Lestat: "Okay, Charmander, we've beaten Rhyhorn, we can beat Nosepass! Start with an Ember to its eyes to catch it off-guard, then use Cut on it! Be careful of its attacks!"

Roxanne: Sorry kid, but there's no way you're getting through Nosepass.

Nosepass starts to harden as Charmander uses ember, causing the attack to do almost literally no damage. Charmander then runs in to cut, but the hardened body of Nosepass causes Charmander to hurt itself as the attack hits! Nosepass tackles Charmander away and then begins tumbling rocks towards Charmander, hitting dead on with its devastating rockslide attack.

Charmander: 8/27 HP
Nosepass: 32/34 HP

Lestat: "We can beat this Nosepass, Charmander! Use Nosepass as a springboard to jump up and hit those sprinklers again so that it gets stuck in the mud and use Cut as you're coming down so that the velocity of the attack does more damage! Then, use Ember in its eyes to keep it off-guard. Once you got that, stick and move with Cut and dodge! Watch out for the Rock Slide attack, buddy!"

*turns to Roxanne*

Lestat: "Don't think for one second that I'm giving up on Charmander. He beat Rhyhorn and he can beat Nosepass, you watch and see!"

[RipTide]

Roxanne: You wish.

Charmander runs at Nosepass and prepares to use it as a spring board, but as Charmander lunges, Nosepass catchs him! Nosepass lets gravity do its thing and he falls to the ground, pinning Charmander between himself and the ground. Charmander tries to use Cut, but is unable to move, and takes heavy damage with every passing second.

Charmander: 19/27 HP
Nosepass: 32/34 HP

Lestat: "Charmander, use Ember on its underside, then use cut on the wound. That ought to get it off of you. After, hit those sprinklers with Ember, then unleash a flurry of Cut on Nosepass!"

Charmander uses Ember, and Nosepass immediately lets go, preventing Charmander's combonation. Charmander springs upward and goes for the sprinkler system, but Nosepass hammers Charmander with a flyiing barrage of rockslide. Nosepass won't let charmader get close to the sprinklers at all! Charmander falls to the ground in pain, and is knocked silly from the super effective hit....

Charmander: 9/27 HP
Nosepass: 29/34 HP

Lestat: "Charmander, we can do this! I want you to shoot an Ember at its eyes to blind it, then shoot two Embers at the sprinklers above its head! Once you do that, move in and use Cut! Keep it up, buddy!"

You are out of potions. You had 4 in your dex, and that was your 5th used...

Charmander unleashes Embers into Nosepass' eyes, which does good damage. He then tries to hit the sprinklers, but Nosepass won't let that happen as he hits the embers with a rockslide attack, blocking them. The rocks then come tumbling down on Charmander.... Things are looking bleak.

Charmander: 1/27 HP
Nosepass: 22/34 HP
