The GWIT Image Series!


GWIT's first contest series has started! There will be ten contest rounds, each with a different theme.

Current theme: GameWinners Colors!

Restrictions:
Maximum 500x160 pixels.
GW colors only.

Extra:
Allowed colors (in hex codes):
#00007B #BBBB88 #EEEECC #F5F5DD

Description:
Create the ultimate sig for use on GameWinners.com, using nothing but your creativity and the standard GameWinners colors found in the posts and logo! The aim of the round is to see what you guys can do with the three GW shades, with the blue as only highlights/text etc...

You guys have to start with the 3 beige colours we've set, but you can use white and black with various transparency to create shades and highlights. Also, for the blue, we want minimal use. VK's gone for "they are allowed to fill maximum 1/4 of the signature with blue. Not dead accurate, of course, but just to limit it...".

Again, we emphasize... minimal use of the blue.

If only Scott had used the GW shades instead of black... definately would have voted for it then. Lacoste and VK get honourable mentions, but I'll go for Hombre as well despite the font choice.

Yeah, Volant was helping me to try to add "GameWinners.com" as a texture on Blender. But his Blender crashed (Because it was still beta) and I didn't have the time to finish after that.

It was less the text being a texture, more like the shape of the text should have been in an ellipse instead of the bottom being level (semi-circle). The perspective was lost. It's the only thing that kept it from being on my "honourable mentions" list.

Ok, thought most were very plain, I know it's kinda hard to use the GW colours, but even so. CB's, whilst creative was a little on the dull and boring side.

I liked Hombre's first attempt, but that got shot down, his new one I like so I voted Hombre. I thought VK's was EXTREMEly OTT.

Hmm... I wonder if there is a way to get that to work. If not that, then a background using 2/3 of the shades rather than just the one.

Hmm, I like most of em, it's hard to pick. Keep posting different versions and let's see how it goes. Made one for my own sig, do with it what you will, I was only making a sig, but anyway... good posts, keep doing well.
