Donny vs. Terraina

Donny walked into Viridian gym and looked around a bit, he then looked ahead and walked forwards.

Donny: Hey Mr. Leader, I want to challenge you!

[RipTide]

A soft voice suddenly echoes from the darkness...

Woman:Mr.? Mr.? I'm a woman, my dear, and you best remember that.

Suddenly all the lights flick on and you find yourself in front of a humongous battle field. The field is made of very fine sand, and it looks quite nice.

Woman: My name is Terraina Dunes. I'm the gym leader here, for the time being. I assume you want a match?
You: I sure do.
Terraina: Fine. Let's go then. This will be a 1v1 match, but I assure you it will not be easy.

As she stops talkin a ref appears and states the rules.

Ref: This will be a 1v1 battle with a 1 pokemon limit and no time limit. When either battler's pokemon is KOd, the battle is over. This battle will be updated in a half Stats/half RPG manner. Good luck to you both. Now. BEGIN!

Terraina: Hm... Let's see. Oh yes, this should be perfect. Go, Vibrava! (Female, Level 12)

So you know; a gym leader's pokemon don't get much lower than that for a first round. (For what I've seen.) So you may have challenged the gym a little early. Oh well, it's okay. Good luck!

Donny was head strong again and rushed into making his pokemon choice.

Donny: Hehehe, yeah this one's the perfect pokemon to use, hehehe, Go Tangela!

Donny threw Tangela's pokeball and out came Tangela, ready to fight

Donny: Quick, use sleep powder then constrict!

[RipTide]

Tangela rushes toward Vibrava and sends out a cloud of blue powder. The cloud engulfs the ground pokemon, but it virbates its wings very quickly, send the cloud away and does not effect it. Vibrava zooms at Tangela and bites down hard, but Tangela returns the favor by constricting it at the same time.

Tangela: 19/24 HP
Virbrava: 37/40 HP

Donny looked on as Tangela constricted Vibrava.

Donny: That's it, keep using constrict and while you're at it hit it with sleep powder!

Tanglea tries to hold on but can't as Vibrava vibrates its wings at terrible speeds. The dragon pokemon turns on a dime and bites Tangela hard for a huge chunk of damage. Unfortunately, Vibrava takes almost no damage save for the little constricting Tangela did...

Tangela: 12/24 HP
Vibrava: 36/40 HP

OOC: Are we aloud to forfeit? If so this next bit is for that purpose.

Donny's smirk was wiped off his face, the thought that he couldn't win had just sunk in.

Donny: I can't win this, I forfeit this match, I'll return when my pokemon are stronger, then I'll beat you, Terraina

Donny held out Tangela's pokeball and returned it, he then turned around and left the gym.

Donny: Darn! Tangela use sleep powder again and then constrict!
