You wake up to the sound of the birds and look at your alarm clock. 10:00?!?! You forgot to set your alarm and now you're gonna be late. You quickly throw clothes on and run outside. You see a crowd of people walking away from a house down the block. You run pass the crowd into the house.

You: Professor!! Can I have my Pokemon?

Professor: Hmmm... I do have one left... ok, you can have it...

You: Yes!! Thank you so much Professor!!

You take your Pokemon and run outside in excitement. You bump into another trainer.

Steve: It's about time you showed up. And judging by your Pokemon, the Professor didn't have anything else...

You: Don't talk about my Pokemon like that!!

Steve: Make me. Go, Gligar Lv. 5!!

You send out your Pokemon, ready to battle. Make your move.

[Mr. Blue!]

Let's go, Elekid. Leer that sucker, then, while its defense is down jump up and quick attack him!

[Alice!]

Gligar glides up and shoots a Poison Sting at Elekid as he uses Leer. The Poison Sting hits Elekid as Gligar swoops down. Elekid jumps up and intercepts it with a Quick Attack, knocking the Gligar down.

[Mr. Blue!]

Jump on top of that thing before he takes off again. Then use leer. That should knock its defense don quite a bit. After that, jump back and nail it with another Quick Attack.

[Alice!]

Gligar flies up as Elekid jumps on and uses Leer. Gligar swoops up too quickly for Elekid to jump off, and Elekid soon finds itself 50 feet off the ground. Gligar tries to hit Elekid with Poison Sting, but is unable to due to Elekid's positioning.

[Mr. Blue!]

Elekid, try and get on top, then leer it. While that distracts it, pull out its wings from gliding and come down on it with the momentum of the fall!

[Alice!]

Elekid jumps up and uses Leer. Glifar stops flapping its wings for a moment, allowing Elekid to garb its wings. Gligar plummets with Elekid steering it towards a tree. Gligar hits it with Poison Sting before they contact, but inevitably they crash. Elekid jumps off, and Gligar take massive damage.

[Mr. Blue!]

Take out the stinger in you, Elekid, no matter how it hurts, and get it into Gligar before the poison runs out. That should get it hurt. Then, quick attack, because after all those leers he should be pretty weak.

[Alice!]

Elekid yanks it out, causing a mixture of poison and blood to squirt out of it. Elekid winces, then jams it into Gligar and slams it with Quick Attack. Gligar cries out and takes to the air.

[Mr. Blue!]

Wait until it runs out of glide time or energy, then, when it's close enough to the ground, hit it with a quick attack again.


OOC: I feel so limited with only two attacks!

[Alice!]

Feel lucky, my Poliwag only had one attack when I started.

Elekid bides its time and dodges all of Gligar's Poison Sting attack. Gligar suddenly dive bombs Elekid while it uses Poison Sting. Elekid jumps up through the Poison Sting and hits Elekid with Quick Attack. Both pokemon are weak.

[Mr. Blue!]

Elekid, do your best. Use a quick attack, but drag your feet enough to gain a small electical charge, so that it put in an extra punch in the attack.

[Alice!]

Elekid runs with its feet dragging, and slams into Gligar while punching it. The electricity dissapates, but the two attacls seem to have done a goodly amount of damage. Gligar weakly shoots a Poison Sting at Elekid, but misses.

[Mr. Blue!]

Okay, Elekid, jump up, and slam down with a quick attack.

[Alice!]

Elekid hits it with a Quick Attack, completely incapacitating Gligar.

Finish Gligar

[Mr. Blue!]

Kick up a bunch of dirt, getting another charge, make sure it's a big one, then poke him... That should shock him enough.


OOC: God I'm weird...

[Alice!]

The charge is built, but when Elekid pokes Gligar it is completely dissapated. Gligar glares at Elekid in contempt.

Stupid me. I forgot he was ground. Whack that smirk off its face! Quick attack!

[Alice!]

Elekid whacks Gligar with a Quick Attack, knocking it out.

Steve: What the! Gligar, return. You may have won this time Kurtis, but I'll be back. Smell ya' later!

Steve runs off, accidentally dropping $200 in the process. Whoops.

Mom: Well hello there Kurtis. I'm glad you came so I could see you off. You've grown so strong.... So tell me, how'd your first battle go?

Kurtis: Well, I battled that kid Steven, you know, the kid down the street. Really, I kicked his butt. He barely put up a fight it seemed. In the beginning he tried several Poison Stings with his new Gligar, but Elekid dogde um. Then he got one in Elekid, and Elekid pulled it out and got Gligar back. Then, I pulled an awesome move using Elekid's static electicity, and that pretty much ended the match.
Mom: Sounds like you did pretty well. Give me your Elekid, so I can heal him quickly, then you need to go to the professor's house. First, though, take this. It's a *Insert item Here*. Now get yourself to the professor's. I'll call you every once in a while to check up on you.

Mom: Well then, I'll see you later!

Prof: Well, I don't know why she would have said that. I'm looking for Steve. There's something I wanted to give to our town's best young trainer.

Best trainer? I just kicked his butt in a match about fifteen minutes ago. Look at my Elekid, he has marks from Gligar's Poison Sting attacks, and if he wouldn't have beat Gligar he'd still be poisoned. He also has some scales off of the pest on his hand, see? *Elekid lifts up his hand to show small shiny scales*

So who's the best now?

[Alice!]

Prof: Well well Kurtis, I guess I underestimated you. Too bad you didn't get here sooner. I sent one of my assistants ahead to find Steve, assuming he had already left. Look him up in the next town, mm'kay?

[Mr. Blue!]

Okay professor. Elekid and I are leaving. Can we borrow a bike to go get him?

[Alice!]

Prof: Sorry, we're fresh out. Anything else?

[Mr. Blue!]

Nope, seeya!

*Kurtis runs out and starts off on the road.*

All righty. You are le gone. On the road, starting your pokemon adventure and whatnot. Hooray!

You wander about for a bit, and soon notice a rustling off in the distance. You go to investigate, and a small rat pokemon jumps out and tries to attacl you. You move easily out of the way, and you and the rat stare each other down.

Elekid, time for some training. Go-.

Wait a second. What's going on?

*Kurtis checks his bag and discovers that an egg his mother had given him as a birthday present several weeks before was hatching. It hatches and Ditto emerges.*

Awesome... Now to deal with this Pikachu (you never said what kind of rat). Elekid, get out there and battle!

[Alice!]

Elekid goes out and is confused at the glaringly obvious lack of Pikachu. It looks at you, puzzled, then sees the small rat pokemon and realizes you mistook Pikachu with this small purple rodent. How you did that, however, is anyone's guess.

[Mr. Blue!]

OOC: That was very, very, very mean.


Elekid, leer, then quick attack!

[Alice!]

You are very, very, very manipulative.

Elekid hits the pokemon with Leer and quickly hits with Quick Attack. The pokemon shakes off the blow and bites Elekid's arm, causing him to run about in a panic.

Elekid, smack that thing against a rock while it's still attatched to your arm!

Rattata gets hit with the rock that was standing still and falls off of Elekid's arm, then jumps back and bares its fangs.

Smack that thing in its teeth. Punch it or something. Try and work on learning your Thunderpunch attack!

Elekid swings its arms in circles to build up a charge as Rattata lunges forward with its fangs bared. Elekid smacks it in the face with a light charge, not enough for a real Thunderpunch, but the Static buildup paralyses Rattata.

Quick Attack it! It's really slow while paralyzed!

All...righty then. I'll just pretend that wasn't the oddest thing I've seen today.

Elekid glows for a moment, then rockets forward and hits Elekid x2 for a critical hits to the face. Rattata reacts by biting Elekid's head plug thingy. Elekid shakes, rattles, and rolls, but Rattata refuses to let go.

[Mr. Blue!]

Your antenae are pretty conductive Elekid. You've got to try and shock him off! If that doesn't work, smack him against stuff!

[Alice!]

Elekid spins its arms in an effort to build up enough energy for a shock, but it takes some time due to it having discharged already. Elekid gets tired of the rat on its head and dives head first into a rock. Rattata jumps off, and Elekid hits its head.

[Mr. Blue!]

Oh know! Elekid, try an hang in there. Use leer on the rat. Then use Quick Attack!

(It gets boring doing the same thing over and over. I'm glad I didn't start with Poliwag!)

[Alice!]

'Oy! That comment stings. Yes. Stings to my very soul. But it's okay, because my Poliwag could pwn your Elekid anyway. At least until it learns an electric move. And if you don't like monotony, try to get creative. There's always an alternative strategy.

Elekid uses Leer, freezing the rat as Elekid tries to regain its composure. Elekid runs in with a Quick Attack, but misses everything and skids to a stop two feet behind and three feet to the left of the still motionless Rattata. Elekid shakes its head, seemingly okay now.

Leer it again, just to be sure, then throw it against the tree!

[Alice!]

Elekid uses Leer again, which has no discernable effect. Elekid then runs up and tosses Rattata into said tree, dealing a lot of damage. Rattata gets out weakly and bares its fangs.

Actually, back in the day I had a simple (two word) reply that came on the same minnute with regards to post time. You do, however, win when length and time are both considered.

You stroll down the leisurely path, and soon come to a lake. Next to the lake is a forest. You decide you want to train. You also decide that choosing a specific area to look for pokemon would be a good idea.

You, Sneasel, Ditto, Rattata, and Elekid all hop in. Elekid quickly hops out after seeing the look on the rest of your faces and plays on the beach. You notice some indistinct black shapes swimming docily underwater.

[Mr. Blue!]

Now I feel like I'm copying you in the Competition! Shuckles!

Ditto, use Transform so we can see what those things are!

Ditto gazes down into the water as its eyes glaze over. Ditto flashes through multiple forms of water pokemon: Goldeen, Horsea, Wooper, Qwilfish, Mantine, Barboach, and some others. Looks like this place is a water pokemon haven. Seems to you a good idea would be to settle on a form of pokemon and have Ditto dive down if you want to catch a pokemon or train.

Suggest a pokemon to transform into if you choose to. I'll decide whether one is in there or not.

Let's find us a Horsea... but first, see if you can't turn into Squirtle or Poliwag.

Yeah, I glad that I know of at least one person who gets it. And I think "√-1" looks a lot better than "(sqrt) -1", which is what it was before I knew the √ symbol existed. Thank you charmap!

Ditto tries to turn into Squrtle, but there just isn't one in sight. On the bright side, Poliwags are abundant, and Ditto quickly Transforms and dives down. Soon, bubbles erupt from below you as a fight breaks out. You Poliwag comes up from the deep with a Horsea hot on his tail.

That Poliwag you copied had an Egg Move, Ice Ball, and was otherwhise a normal Lv. 7 Poliwag.

[Mr. Blue!]

Okay Poli- err, Ditto, use hypnosis! Then, after that, make an ice ball and smack it with your tail to send it flying at that Horsea. It's gonna be a dragon type later in life, so it's gonna have to hurt it a little!

[Alice!]

DittoWag uses Hypnosis, the swirl on its stomach rotating as Horsea falls asleep. DittoWag then forms a smallish Ice Ball and hits Horsea, waking it up. Horsea then shoots a blob of ink at DittoWag, soaking it and doing a bit of damage.

[Mr. Blue!]

It's got Ockazooga, so watch out! Smack it with another Ice Ball!

[Alice!]

Horsea dives underwater, as does DittoWag, who forms an even larger Ice Ball as it goes down. The Horsea rotates in the water and lets out as much ink as it can, obscuring the water with cloudy ink. DittoWag releases its Ice Ball, which glides through the water and the sounds of it connecting with Horsea could be heard. When the ink dissapated however, Horsea was gone.

No, don't let it run away! Ditto, get back here, and go Sneasel! Use your ability (Keen Eye) and find that Horsea! When you do let loose a Scratch! If you can't find it draw it out with Taunt!

[Alice!]

Sneasel pops out and dives into the water, cutting through with its claws held out. It quickly locates the Horsea, who lets out a stream of Bubbles that hit Sneasel for some damage. Sneasel lunges forward and Scratches Horsea, doing a good chunk of damage.

[Mr. Blue!]

Leer it, then when it's leered smack it out of the water. Ditto-wag, when it comes out knock an Ice Ball at it!


EDIT: You know, I was reading Rip's RPG and I am wondering, is there any way I can get Sneasel to evolve? I would most definitly do something like Friendship or something to get it!

Ah, right, the Munchlax. I suppose. If you're willing to invest the time to bring it's happiness up to 10 in the salon, you could go ahead and have a Manyula. It would use the same moveset as Sneasel, at least until D/P is released and we learn its actual moveset.

Your pokemon react quickly, knocking Horsea out of the water and hitting it with an Ice Ball attack in quick sucession. Horsea shoots a quick Octazooka into the air, apparently a signal, because a Tentacool rises from the deeps unexpectedly, and hits Sneasel with a Poison Sting.

Oh fudge! Sneasel, extend your claws to the farthest and scratch that Tentacool! Ditto-wag, Ice Ball until it drops back to the weak one. Then hypnotize Horsea!

OOC: Nice one there... I didn't expect that. I'm gonna try and get Sneasel up...

Really? If I'm letting Rip have a D/P pokemon, why not you. I'm thinking someone might get a Bonsly as well...and maybe a Manene.

Sneasel whips around at high speeds and Scratches Tentacool, whose stingers automatically hit Sneasel, poisoning it. Tentacool dives just below the surface at starts emitting an eery noise. DittoWag generates a massive Ice Ball and chucks it below the surface, slamming into Tentacool, but not before its Supersonic attack leaves DittoWag confused. Horsea shoots another Octazooka attack at Sneasel, coating its fur in ink and forcing it to dive below the water, with Horsea soon following.

No, I wasn't expecting the Tentacool.
You know what I would love to get, the baby form of Mantine.
Anyways, moving on!

Ahh, Sneasel! *Tosses Antidote in the water* Use that! *Sneasel releases the antidote and it gives him relief from his poison* What out for that Horsea! Its Ocktazooga is nasty! Ditto-Wag, try and focus. If you're up to it try hynotize Tentacool! Nobody use physical attacks on him anymore! Sneasel, scratch that Horsea as many times as you can! Your ability will keep his inky ways from getting to you!

DittoWag's eyes cross in and out as its stomach spirals begin to swirl. It swims drunkenly towards Tentacool, and both pokemon somehow manage to fall asleep. They rise to the surface, bobbing up and down in the surf. Sneasel shakes itself underwater as Horsea lets out a spray of Bubbles. They pop all around Sneasel, doing some damage before Sneasel can get close enough to his with Scratch, which he does. Horsea bolts for the surface with Sneasel hot on its tail

Sneasel, new plan, smack that Tentacool out of the water and next to me! TTentacools out of water are nearly useless! Ditto-Wag wake up!

[Alice!]

Sneasel cuts through the water below Tentacool and uppercuts it with Scratch, making sure only to hit the bell, knocking it up into the air, where it catches the breeze and gracefully floats back into the water after shooting DittoWag with a Poison Sting, effectively waking it up; Horsea, on the other hand, uses Octazooka moments afterwards, hitting DittoWag and snapping it out of its confusion.

Well, if that's what it takes, Ditto-Wag, smack the Horsea across its face with your tail! Sneasel, Scratch the hell out of Tentacool's top!

DittoWag hits Horsea across the face with its Tail. Horsea gets irritated and shoots DittoWag in the bum with Octazooka. DittoWag is perturbed, and dives underwater to wash up with Horsea following closely behind. Sneasel jumps out of the water and Scratches Tentacool's bell. Tentacool grabs Sneasel with its tentacles and chucks it onto dry land. Luckily, Tentacool's grabby tentacles don't have stingers, so Sneasel is shaken, but otherwhise okay.

[Mr. Blue!]

Ditto-Wag, start your belly swirl, then when its goin good enough, spin around and put Horsea to sleep. Sneasel, use Taunt and draw Tentacool to the water's edge, then unleash a leer and try and get that thing with some critical hits!

[Alice!]

DittoWag starts its Hypnosis attack as Horsea shoots some low velocity bubbles at it. DittoWag's Hypnosis attack and Horsea's Octazooka attack come at the same time. The shining Bubbles reflect and refract the Hypnosis attack, redirecting it towards Sneasel and Tentacool, who both fall asleep. DittoWag is then hit with Octazooka.

[Mr. Blue!]

Wow, that was wierd. Umm, Ditto-Wag, use bubble on Horsea. Sneasel, wake up!

[Alice!]

DittoWag uses Bubble against Horsea's Bubble. The two attacks lazily drift towards each other, every bubble popping another. DittoWag and Horsea stare each other down. Tentacool and Sneasel continues to nap, drifting aimlessly in the waves.

[Mr. Blue!]

Ditto-wag, blow a couple bubbles at Sneasel to get him up. Then, when he gets up I'll tell him to scratch that Tentacool up! Then, Ditto-Wag, send a couple Ice Balls in Horsea's face.

[Alice!]

DittoWag hits Sneasel lightly, causing him to stir, but he's still very groggy. He yawns and goes over to hit Tentacool, but misses slightly and gets stung, effectively waking him up, as well as poisoning him. Horsea hits DittoWag as it launches two smallish Ice Balls, both of which connect.

[Mr. Blue!]

AHHH! Not again! Here's an antidote! Now scratch!

Ditto-Wag, try and use Ice Ball as many times as possible!

[Alice!]

Sneasel jumps up and Scratches Tentacool as it uses Poison Sting, doing minor damage. Sneasel lands on it bulb and its "grabbing you" tentacles pull Sneasel down into the water with it. DittoWag hurls Ice Ball after Ice Ball through Horsea's attacks, and finishes with a Ball the size of a medium sized car! Massive damage is inflicted all up in Horsea's face.

Ditto-Wag, smack Horsea up next to me so I can catch it! Then help out Sneasel and use Ice Ball on Tentacool!

DittoWag slaps Horsea with its tail, knocking it out and up into the air. it then launches a tiny Ice Ball at Tentacool, which bounces off of its squishy top.

Level up for Ditto

[Mr. Blue!]

Ditto-Wag, change back and come back here. You've done well. Now it's Sneasel's turn!

Sneasel, leer it! Then use Scratch on its Poison sacs on the top of its head. That should deal some major damage!

[Alice!]

DittoWag morphs back to its Ditto form and swims towards you. You reach down to pick it up and see the small Horsea floating in the water.

Do you want to catch Horsea?

Sneasel uses Leer to distract Tentacool, then jumps out of the water and Scratched it while skillfully dodging its Poison Sting attack. Tentacool convulses and dives down into the water.

As I mentioned earlier:

Well, I think we should try and get to the town ahead soon. All of my pokemon definitly need a break. Maybe after we heal up we can come back and train some more before we challenge the gym.

Well, I just caught a Horsea and I want to go to the next town... (Cherrygrove).

You get out of the water and dry off, proud to have caught such a cool pokemon! You return your pokemon to their pokeballs and start packing up. After walking for about 10 minutes you get to the top of a hill. Oh my gosh! It's Cherrygrove City in the distance! In excitement you begin to run. You arrive on the city border within minutes.

Hm... what to do now? There's the pokemon center, a couple of houses, some trainers walking around, and an odd looking man standing by a tree. Choose for yourself! ^_^

You go to the pokemon center and heal your pokemon. Then you head out and walk to the weird man.

Weird Guy: Hey'a kid, want a tour?

The man takes you on a boring tour... it last for what seems like forever... what's worse is that everything he tells you is stuff you already know!

As you approach the final tour stop, he begins talking rather happily.

Man: I found it in Azalea last time I visited... I actually found it with two other stones. But I used those... hey, um... wanna have a doubles battle? I'd love to get some training in with these my newly evolved pokemon!

Man: Great! Go, Sunflora (Female Lvl 7)! Go, Clefable (Male Lvl 7)! Those sun and moon stones were awesome!

Sneasel, Taunt the Clefable and when its comes nail it with a Quick attack!

Eevee, use helping hand with Sneasel!

Sneasel uses taunt, pissing Clefable off. The normal type pokemon roared out its name in anger and lunged forward with Double Slap. Sneasel readied itself and suddenl Eevee appeared by its side, pushing it and giving it extra power for its Quick Attack which sent Clefable tumbling backwards.

Sunflora, who had been left alone, wiggled happily and used growth, boosting its special attack! It rushed toward eevee and clamped on it with its root-like legs, using a suped up absorb attack.

Sneasel, try and produce some ice like attack! Come on buddy, you've gotta help Eevee! If Clefable comes up you've got to protect yourself though!

Sneasel, at such a low level, has no way of forming an ice attack... at the very most, its breath is very cold. It rushes at Sunflora and breethes on it, but it does nothing but make Sunflora shiver and get very angry. Sunflora lets go of Eevee and turns its attention to Sneasel. It uses pound right in Sneasels face for good damage.

Eevee runs away from Sunflora and focuses on Clefable, who is by its self twitching its finger. Eevee runs in for a tackle but suddenly hits an invisible wall!! Clefables metronome attack created a Barrier attack!

AAAH!!!! Way to ruin my plan!

Eevee, tackle Sunflora, Sneasel, Taunt the Clefable and see if you can get it angry enough to run into the barrier, since it doesn't usually use the attack it might be ignorant enough to fall under the dark attack's spell and run at you and into it!

Eevee tackles Sunflora and the two pokemon face off, glaring at eachother. Sunflora pounds but Eevee dodges with a light-footed jump. Eevee smirks and then nails Sunflora with another tackle.

Sneasel taunts Clefable, and the normal pokemon gets very angry, again. But, its not AS stupid as you thought. It knows where the barrier is and decides to try and double slap through it! Unfortunately, it was a LITTLE stupid and hurts itself trying to break through the barrier... Clefable tries to sing, but can't because of the taunt.

[Mr. Blue!]

Eevee, keep at it, maybe use a tail whip... Sneasel, keep your Taunt going until the barrier is down then nail that thing with your claws!

[RipTide]

Eevee uses tail whip which distracts Sunflora, lowering its defense. But since you didn't tell it to do anything else, it simply stands there like a sitting duck. It's not dumb, however, and dodges gracefully as Sunflora tries pound attack multiple times.

Clefables barrier fades and Sneasel ends the taunt. Unlucky for Sneasel, Clefable realized that taunt was over, so it uses sing and knocks Sneasel out cold. Sneasel is sleeping on the ground and Clefable begins pounding it fiercely with double slap. Somehow, Sneasel doesn't wake up.

Umm, didn't tell it to attack??? I said "Keep at it.." Try and pay attention, gosh!

Sneasel, wake your butt up and use quick attack! Eevee, you're doing great. Keep tail whiping and tackling!

[RipTide]

Sneasel is resting peacefully and doesn't hear your commands... Clefable b!tch double slaps it over and over and soon the dark pokemon wakes up from its slumber. In a furious rage is gouges at Clefables face with its claws and then quick attacks it in the gut for huge damage.

Eevee continues its graceful dodging and tackling, doing good damage to the slow grass type. Suddenly Sunflora figures out Eevee's motions and perfectly aims a pound attack, sending Eevee tumbling. Eevee rises up and tail whips, lowering Sunflora's defenses, and then rushes in with tackle only to go whizzing by as Sunflora wiggles and dodges.

[Mr. Blue!]

Don't let it get to you, Eevee. Try and annoy it. Bounce off its head and do things that will bug it, but watch for any attacks it might deliver. When you get the opportunity Tackle it.

Sneasel, have a nice nap? Use quick attack with scratch. That'll hurt Clefable!

[RipTide]

Eevee runs behind Sunflora, then ontop of it, bouncing on its pedals like a trampoline. Eevee tackles straight down for huge damage, but as it tumbles off, Sunflora pounds it for some good damage also. Eevee hurt, but its only a trick. As Sunflora gets closer, Eevee rises and nails Sunflora for a near finishing blow.

Finish Sunflora!

Sneasel quick attacks again, damaging Clefable quite a bit. She double slaps Sneasel in the face, which only makes it more mad. Sneasel dips below the slaps and slashes at Clefables ankles with scratch.
