So. GWPS4. My time to play like I do outside GWPS's? I think not.

This series might be interesting... I found it funny that the final day of the tournament is my birthday. Another thing that adds spice to the curry is the fact that during most of June, I'll be drowning in A level exams. Need to make sure I get enough early showings to take off the pressure (and that'll be hard, considering last series when I played my second game on the deadline day).

Registration ends four days before my last day of high school. Go me.
If I play as well in this GWPS as I did during the heads-up tourney, I hope to make that final table.

it is more making sure i knew what it was than assuming i had the definition correct

I don't think that there were enough 'early' starts for the likes of me who live outside the US, in the last GWPS. I think that the organisers and hosts did a sterling job with the last series, but even though I played every early game and even one that started at 1.00am, I was still two games short of the maximum six. I think that this severley hampered my final table chances. I know the hosts are doing the best they can, so maybe someone like me, who lives in Europe, could host one or two early games this time? Just a thought.

you may be in better fortune this time since we'll be playing during the summer.

yeah, with it being summer there's the potential of some games being able to fall earlier in the day...maybe not though.
and earlier in the day might be bad for me for the second half...lol...I'll just have to get a bunch in early in the tournament and hope for some later games for the second half.

To everyone is Europe and other time zones:
I purposely wanted this GWPS to start after most people get off of school for the summer... or are almost out of school when their work slows down so we can host games at all different times. I work, but I get plenty of days off in between to host games. I'm hoping that Cole and Brian will join me in hosting some games anywhere from noon EST through 11 EST. When this thing starts, I will be off from school. My work is also slowing down so I will be able to just stay home some days.
We really want to see more early games. You should have made the final table, TSP. So should have Shak. Maybe with the better times you will.

Nice one, that's good to hear. The last thing anyone wants to do is put their all into a number of games, then miss out because they can't commit to the later starts. It's good also that there is quite a bit of breathing space between each GWPS, as it makes it feel like more of an event, more special. Kind of like the World Cup only happening every four years!

That was actually Cole's idea. We planned to have another event prior to starting this but no one seemed interested so we just got this rolling again.

Almost 40 people signed up...
If 2 more signed up and they were all active, 7 people + wildcard at final table
More likely however is we'll end up with a 2 person (wildcard included) final table when only 6 people play games -_-
