Drowzee lays down the law with one final attack, knocking out Torkoal.

Kindler: Too bad, I guess even Curse couldn'y beat that Drowzee of yours. Well...I'll see you later.

Lestat: "Wait! Don't leave yet. Your Torkoal did a good job and I'd like to let you know you're doing great with it."

*leaves and heads to Rustboro City*

[Alice!]

You take off, and before long your stomach is grumbling. You sit down next to a spring, unable to continu. You soon drift off into a blissful slumber.

Hours later you awaken to see a delicios freshly cooked meal in front of you. You ravenously wolf it down before you realize how odd it is that it'd just be sitting there. Looking around you catch a glimpse of something that looks like the sun itself, only much closer. The thing takes off into the sky, and as it flys off your eyes readjust and you see that it is an enormous bird.

*follows the bird for a bit*

[Alice!]

You run after the bird for a bit, but it easily outpaces you and dissapears over the horizon. Suddenly the Kindler from earlier comes running up behind you.

Kindler: Aw man, didja see it? Please tell me I wasn't dreaming.

[ss_majin_vegeta]

Lestat: "Yeah, I saw it. One day, I'll catch that bird- I can promise you that. Well, now that you're here, do you have any other Pokemon besides Torkoal? I'm itching for another good battle. Whaddya say? Wanna have another go at this?"

[Alice!]

Kindler: No, no, Torkoal's my pride and joy. I just wanted to let you know that I kept my promise. Assuming of course it was you who ate that food. Of course...getting to see Moltres was wonderful in and of itself.

[ss_majin_vegeta]

Lestat: "Yes, Moltres is beautiful. Also, it was me who ate the food, though I didn't know you made it. Thank you for your kindness. Hope to see you again one day!"

*heads back for Rustboro City*

[Alice!]

You walk along for a while, and soon arrive at the city.

*goes to Pokecenter, then looks for a Gym to challenge*

[Alice!]

You arrive at the gym, the door of which is chained and locked shut. You see a note. "I'm tired of fighting weaklings. If you can get in, I'll take you on! -Roxanne"

*pulls out three Pokeballs*

Lestat: "Go, Charmander, Drowzee and Onix! Charmander, use Ember on that chain for a bit to soften the metal and Drowzee, see if you can use Shadow Ball on it to warp it some more and finally Onix, use Tackle to bust it down after they do that! We're going in there whether she likes it or not!"

[Alice!]

The chain, as well as the door, holds, but as the note burns away you see deep gashes on the door. Looks like previous trainers Cut their way in with precision attack to the links of the chains.

*walk around town, looking for a way to learn the move Cut*

You spy some buildings. Where to begin....

You enter the house, which is in disarray. Not the "My house got trashed by burglars" disarray, more of a "I'm too lazy to clean or organize my house" disarray. Anyway, no one's home. You exit, and someone calls out.

Man: Hey! What were you doing in my house!

Lestat: "Nothing, sir- I came to see if anyone was home so I could ask about learning the move Cut to one of my Pokemon and I saw this note here about you being robbed. I had it happen to me back in Petalburg, so I know how you feel. Is there anyway I can help you out?"

[Alice!]

Man: Robbed? Note? What are you talking about? Unless...don't tell me!

He dashes in and throws open a drawer, removing a TM.

Man: Phew, my HM is just fine. Now what in the world are you talking about.

Seriously. The guy didn't get robbed. You must have misread what I posted. Now explain yourself to the poor guy.

Lestat: "Oh, nothing- I kept this note from the last town I was in when I got robbed! Sorry! I actually came here to see about learning the move Cut- I'm trying to get into Rustboro Gym and none of my Pokemon's moves worked to break the lock until I saw cut marks on the door. Can you help me?"

Man: Well hm... a misunderstanding it seems huh? huh? I- I'm interested in your lil adventure, you-you want to learn cut? Well-a guess what! You came to th-the right place! But I wont teachya right away. You'sa gotsta beat me in a battle! Unless you dont wa-want to....

Lestat: "Sure, I'll battle against you! What are the stips?"

Man: G-greeeat! You're in for a r-r-real battle you young'in you! Go Lickitung (Lvl 7, female)

Lestat: "Allright! Go, Qwilfish! Use Spikes to surround Lickitung, then use Poison Sting on her to try and poison her! Watch out for that huge tongue! Dodge if it tries to attack!"

[RipTide]

Lickitung starts out by lashing its tounge around. Unlucky for it! Qwilfish's spikes are sharp and damaging! The lick attack ends up backfiring and Lickitung begins running around in a panic of pain! Qwil takes the opportunity to surround Lickitung with spikes, making it freak out more. Qwil launches several poisonous barbs, but all but one miss as Lickitung is moving too quickly.

Man: Heya Licky! C-c-calm yerself down or yer gunna hur-hurt yourself. Those spikes are what's hurtin' ya, get rid of em!

Lickitung removes the spikes with its tounge and spits them away. Qwilfish tries to surround Lickitung again, but Lick keeps repeating the defensive strategy.

Lestat: "Good job, Qwilfish, keep doing that! Use Spikes to keep its tongue occupied, then switch to Poison Sting for some damage! If it tries to shoot the spikes at you, dodge and hit it with Poison Sting!"

[RipTide]

Qwilfish uses spikes but Lickitung just keeps catching them and throwing them aside.... Luckitung rushes in and uses Cut right across Qwils face for big damage. Qwil, now at a very close range, fires multiple poison stings doing good damage. Lickitung lashes with its tung and sends Qwil flying in order to stop the poisonous battering.

Lestat: "Be careful, Qwilfish! That tongue is gonna be your downfall if you're not careful! Use Spikes and Poison Sting in a combo to keep it at bay and dodge if it tries to retalliate! Just keep it up and you can beat it!"

[RipTide]

Qwil sends out a wall of poison stings and spikes, all of which Lickitung tries to catch with its tounge. It doesn't know there are poison stings in the massive attack, and it ends up taking massive damage! A poison barb latches itself in Lickitungs tougne and suddenly its face gains a purplish tint and it looks flushed. Lickitung has been poisoned. It tries to run in with a cut attack, but it backs off when the poison begins to sap away its HP....

Lestat: "Good job, Qwilfish, now use Spikes and keep Lickitung away from you and let the Poison eat it up! If that Trainer gives it an antidote, strike Lickitung with a combination Spikes and Poison Sting again! Keep it up, you got it beat!"

[RipTide]

Man: I'm'a gunna git you, kid!

Lickitung suddenly stops moving and stares straight at Qwilfish. Qwil is a little freaked out, and gets angry, so it fires a barrage of poison stings. Lickitung blocks them with cut which catches everyone off guard! Lickitung rears back and lets out a spiraling sound wave that strikes Qwilfish straight in the face. Supersonic did its job! Qwilfish is now confused! Lickitung looks proud, but then slumps over in pain from the poison....

Lestat: "Damn, I didn't see that coming! Qwilfish, try your best to attack Lickitung with Spikes and if that doesn't work, try and use Poison Sting! Be careful, buddy!"

[RipTide]

Qwil tries to unleash a spikes attack, but instead throws them straight up. The spikes fly into the air and land back down ontop of Qwilfish, in jurying it. Lickitung takes the opporunity to rush in with cut, but at the last moment Qwil unleashes as many poison stings as possible. The barrage hits Lickitung hard, and Lickitung starts panting... the poison is really sapping at his HP...

You walks towards the gym with you Charmander in its pokeball, ready to use cut. But before you can get there, your hometown-friend May comes running up from behind you.

May: Lestat! Are you sure you're ready to take on Roxanne? I mean c'mon, she's a leader and your pokemon aren't too high of levels... C'mon, Let's battle!

Since its your rival, you can't escape this battle!!

May: Go, Butterfree! (Female, Lvl 10)

You might want to add a section called May (Last Time Seen) to your First post. There you can say what pokemon she has whenever you see her. So you can add this butterfree, and whatever pokemon she used in your very first battle way back when. I'll make an updated level and such for it when you tell me what it was.

Lestat: "Okay, May- you asked for it! Go, Charmander! Charmander, use Ember on that Butterfree and if it dodges or tries to attack, dodge its attack and use Cut and follow it up with another Ember! You got the advantage here!"

May:Hm.. training a Charmander before a rock gym was not very smart of you. Oh well! Butterfree, let's show 'em how its done!

Charmander uses ember, hurting Butterfree and sending it flying high into the sky. Charmander waits for an attack from Butterfree, but none comes... Suddenly Charmander is thrown to the ground and looks like it is in a lot of pain.

May: Hehehe... confusion rocks!

Lestat: "F*ck you, May! Charmander, hurl an Ember at Butterfree to bring it down to you, then use Cut to put the hurt on it!"

Charmander uses ember, but Butterfree dodges and dives in, tackling Charmander hard.

May: If you hold off on evolving a caterpie for one level, it will evolve into Metapod knowing tackle and string shot... incase you didn't know. And I don't appreciate that language you lil' brat!

Charmander rises from the ground and hacks at Butterfree with cut, but the flying pokemon is too quick; all attacks miss. Charmander lets loose another emeber, and the attack does hit. Butterfree falls to the ground and Charmander rushes in with cut, but Butterfree hits it with stringshot, tying it up and making it incapable of moving.

Lestat: "May, stop chattering and let's battle! Charmander, use your tail to burn the string, then shoot Butterfree with Ember again! Dodge if it attacks and try to get a Cut attack in!"

[RipTide]

Chamander burns off the string shot and roars out its names in triumph. It turns to Butterfree and embers it hard as it flies in to tackle. Butterfree fumbles but manages to stay in the air. Butterfree flies in again and fakes a tackle, and then sends Charmander flying with a Confusion attack.

Lestat: "Come on, Charmander- don't let this Butterfree whoop you like this! Use Ember on it again and if it tries to attack, dodge and use Cut as it swoops in! If you see it trying to concentrate on you and use Confusion, hit it with a quick Ember to disorient it and then use Cut! You can do it, pal!"

[RipTide]

Charmander unleashes ember but Butterfree is too well trained to take such an obvious attack. It swoops in to tackle and Charmander hacks at it with Cut, stopping Butterfrees tackle and doing big damage.

Lestat: "Good job, Charmander! Try and use Ember again, but watch out for its attacks! Try and use Cut again if you catch it swooping in like that and be on your guard!"

[RipTide]

Butterfree is preparing for a confusion attack but is taken out of the sky with a powerful ember. As Butterfree falls, Charmander runs in and uses cut, sending the bug tumbling away. Charmander tries to run in for another cut, but Butterfree manages to blow it back with confusion.

FINISH BUTTERFREE

Lestat: "Allright, Charmander! Use Ember one last time on Butterfree! You did great, pal!"

The hammer strikes Butterfree hard and it comes crashing down.

Levle up +1 for Charmander.

May: Hm... I'd battle you with my other pokemon but I wouldn't want to embarass you. I mean c'mon. A charmander isn't much of a challenge for my squirtle.... But anyways. Good luck with your "gym challenge" and I'll see you later.

She gives you $200 and walks off.
