There Can Be Only One

They say all anyone wants to do is live long enough to do this, or that. See something spectacular, become something famous, live their dreams. They say Immortality is the ultimate goal. To live forever... Wouldn't it be nice?

Too bad it's only a myth.

If only it were a myth...

Men have been shot to pieces in open fields. People, carved open as if they were a fish about to be cooked. People have seen men take unbelievable risks, do completely unsurvivable things, die, and yet those who had been shot, had taken out 15 enemy soldiers alone, stopped living, all walk the streets today.

It's been happening for millennia. People live normal lives, until they die... Then, they wake up. Most were cast out of their families, called witches, demons... Some were killed again, yet they lived again. Most wandered some some time, until they met another of these Immortals. Upon getting within a certain range, they sense eachother. Often, the 'older' Immortal will become the newer one's teacher. Mentor. Often, for years. Sometimes, they are simply slain without knowing what they were.

Ever since the first Immortals came around, there have been those to chronicle them. The Watchers, a secret society dedicated to archiving these undying souls, their kills, their activities, their influences... Not a single Immortal knows of the Watchers, nor should they find out. When a Watcher dies, his case is passed to another Watcher. Every known Immortal has a Watcher... Even the most evil of them. No Watcher can interfere with their case's dealings. That would blow the cover.

The Immortals are in a constant fight, against eachother, themselves... Everyone. Their seemingly never-ending fight is called 'The Game'. The rules are simple:

1. No fighting upon Holy Ground - No Immortal shall attack another Immortal on Holy Ground of any culture. This includes shrines, gravesites, churches, ect.

2. No Interference Rule - No Immortal shall interfere with a fight between two other Immortals. No teaming-up, no backstabbing. The third Immortal must wait, and challenge the victor of the first battle, after it has been won. This includes killing during a Quickening.

3. There Can Be Only One - When there is only one Immortal left upon the planet, he shall recieve The Prize.

When an Immortal kills another Immortal(this can only be done through beheading), he shall recieve a Quickening. This is a surge of visible energy coming from the dead's body, into the living's. It is the transfer of power. It is the only way an Immortal can become 'stronger', in an immortal sense. Physical training and sword training is a must, but so is killing. It's what they do.

Immortals tread through History, creating alliances amongst the thousands of combatants in their Game, living normal lives, marrying, but never having children. All Immortals are sterile. Immortals don't get sick. Immortals heal their wounds in an instant. Immortals die, but come back after 2 minutes. Immortals don't grow limbs. Immortals kill. Immortals are the supreme champions of human kind, blessed by all Gods... And in the end, there can be only one.

Immortality isn't what it's cracked up to be but anyway..

GW Screen name: Wrath~Child
Name: Pang Kang
Taken Name: Wrath~Child
Date of Birth: 188 AD
Date of 1st death: 207 AD
Place of Birth: Jing Province, China
Alignment: Benevolent
Weapon: Dual Tonfas with blades attached to side and end
Fighting style: Defensive
Appearence: moderately tall, lanky with tall arms, red hair kinda spiky, scar on left eye, wears a strap on shoulder to store weapons, long baggy pants
(Overall, looks like Kilik from Soul Calibur 3, long story short)

Story:A warrior in China from the 3 Kingdom's era, Trained as a monk in a temple in the Wu territory, until his grandfather, Pang Tong sent him a plea of help before dying in the Battle against Liu Zhang to come join Shu while it was still growing, but he still had much training to accomplish.

When he heard of the battle of the Wu Zhang Plains he proceeded to aid Shu, but after learning of Zhuge Liang's death(Shu's Priminister), gave up hope. After Liu Chan's surrender, he was determined to help Wu Fight at the Battle of He Fei Castle where he greatly aided the reinforcements coming from the mountains find their way.

After the end of the 3 Kingdoms, he swore vengence on the Jin Dynasty (Who took over China eventually) and led a rebelious group against Sima Yi's sons and has caused the empire to fear his group which fought many battles against them. He was killed by a cowardly act by one of his men who betrayed him when he surrendered the supply base to the Jin officers, turning his own men against him which he bitterly fought off but eventually was shot down by arrows from the back when he was cornered.

He then woke up 10 years later, pulled out the arows from his back and began his conquest as an immortal, swearing vengence, thus came the name "Wrath~Child."

Is that good enough?

Well, I forgot about this place.

I never really intended for it to live. It was more of a craving to make a Highlander clan. Hnh.

Oh well. Bump.

This can be a really good clan we should really try and see if we can't get it to live.
