OOC: Sorry for the wait, Finals came up. Not quite as hard as I thought they would be.

The grove ahead looked quite calm as you walk up to an opening in the dense trees. There, sure enough, is Faulkner. His Pidgeotto is out, flying drills in and out of the network of branches.

"Yeah! There you go, Pidg. Now, try using your claws on the branches to change your trajectory faster!"

The Pidgeotto starts to blur a bit, its speed increasing and its flight patterns becoming more random and harder to follow.

Kurtis: Hey, why are you out here?

Faulkner turned sharply, suspicion in his eyes.

"To hide from hurtful beasts like you! Go, Pidgeotto!"

Kurtis: O sh!t!

Kurtis jumps out of the way of the attacking bird.

Kurtis: I don't wanna hurt you!

"Hmph. Right." Faulkner calls the Pidgeotto back, but instead grabs you by the collar roughly.

"What do you want? And why does everyone keep trying to attack me?"

Kurtis: I'm more lost than you. All I know is, I kicked some douche bag's ass, while he was guarding the door to your gym, and then he gave me a Document that led me here.

With a severe look of distrust, Faulkner lets you go.

"Of course. You know, they shouldn't even be here, really. They're casino guys, and apparently I'm on prime land they want for themselves. Of course, there's no way I'm giving up my gym, but they won't take no for an answer.

Kurtis: Well the guy guarding your gym was a pushover, how did they force you out?

Faulkner shook his head.

"There are other ways of force. They beat me, and threatened my family. It was all I could do to stall."

O Geez. They really mean business then. Well, if you want it, I'll help you knock these *******s out.

Faulkner regarded you for a few moments, then grinned.

"Yeah, that sounds good. But, I won't fight fire with fire. How about we use a bit of flying?"

Kurtis: Sounds good.

He releases Murkrow from its PokeBall.

Kurtis: You lead the way.

The duo walked back to Violet, fierce determination in Faulkner's eyes. It was a bit spooky for you, but it was encouraging nonetheless. Finally, the gym was in sight and Kurtis was lead to the door by the former leader.

"I wish to see Brutus. I'm here to pay him what he is owed," Faulkner croaked out, his face grim and expressionless before the guard. You notice that it is the same guard you beat before. You grin at him, and the guard shrinks back.

"Yeah, go ahead. He's in there right now," he said sheepishly. Faulkner led you inward, and straight up to a large man, decked out in a sharp black suit.

"Brutus, I have a proposition," Faulkner said calmly. "One final pokemon battle, between myself and Kurtis here and you and one of your...cronies. If you win, I'll leave you alone, and even go so far as to leave this out of police hands. If I win, though, you all must leave, leave me alone, and become more men than you are right now. How about it, you great coward?"

Brutus was furious. Still, he called over one of the men, a big lad in a tight black shirt and pants. Brutus called out a very large Mightyena, while his minion summoned a Porygon.

Kurtis: Let's go Umbreon. Here's a TM for ya.

Teaches Umbreon Dragon Claw.
(If that's ok with you? If not, then he'll learn Rock Smash instead.)

Kurtis: I'm ready Faulkner.

OOC: It's plausible he would learn that, I guess. I really don't have a problem with it, unless its something like Snorlax learning Fly. It has to be within the realm of reason.

"Right. Go, Pidgeotto!" yelled Faulkner, releasing his proud bird type into the air. The Mightyena and Pidg start going at it, their attacks and blocks a blur of motion. The goon turns his attention to Umbreon, ordering Porygon to let loose a Tri-Attack right in his direction.

Umbreon, use your speed to dodge that attack! Then I want your to use Faint Attack on the thing!

OOC: Anyone wanna update me?

Jeffie!
April 27th, 2008, 06:58 PM
AWWW YEAH! Let's do this!
I just read your entire adventure. You've had a whole bunch of little side quests! Crazy fun stuff. Let's see if I can tie them together all pretty-like. I'll even bring Kari back.

~~~
Brutus laughs and Mightyena cackles in his own dog-like way. "Umbreon? You've got to be kidding. Look at the pathetic little thing, Mightyena! It's time to crush these idiots!"
Mightyena howls, throwing up his head and rearing up on his hind legs for a moment. Porygon uses Mightyena's actions as a distraction, trying to catch you off guard. However, Umbreon has been focused on Porygon and easily dodges the Tri-Attack. Pidgeotto swoops in to attack Mightyena with blades made of wind. Umbreon retaliates against Porygon with Faint Attack.
(Take the role of Faulkner for the rest of this battle. Pidgeotto is Female, Lv. 18 and has Air Cutter as an Egg move. Her ability is Keen Eye.)
(Your opponents' pokemon: Mightyena, Male, Lv. 18; Porygon, Genderless Lv. 8.)
Okay Umbreon, let's kick some ass! First, use Tackle to knock Porygon far enough away you can this next attack. I want you to give Pigeotto a Helping Hand! I'm sure your moral support will help!
Pigeotto, use Air Cutter on Mightyena, make it as good as you can. We need to knock him out quick!
