GWPS III: Game 1 - 2.21.06 - 9PM Eastern

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages. Gather 'round because it is time to kick this up a notch! On Tuesday, February 21st we will present the first official game of the GWPS III!

Now a little rundown for those of us that are new.

The table will open up at 8PM Eastern Time. You will find this game on CnR, under the Private tab, and then the Medium tab, and under the hosts name. (More on that later.) When you join us, take a seat, as long as it's not one of the reserved ones, but DO NOT SIT IN! Put in 1000 dollars, and sit back. Chat. Have some fun. Go play a video game for an hour, whatever you like. The games will never start before the actual start time. Even if you're there for an entire hour.

When everyone is there and alert and the time has struck, the table host will give a quick run through the rules, he'll tell you how many people will get points, and he'll begin the sit-in process. Firstly he'll make sure everyone is there. He'll call out your name, when he does, say that you're there. After that, if he is playing, he will sit in. DO NOT SIT IN. After he sits in, he will count back from 3. On 1 or 0 (depending on the host) you will click the Sit-In button, and the game begins. (If he's not playing, it'll be the same process except he won't sit in first.)

That's it! You play until everyone is eliminated, and if you bust, DO NOT sit in with more money. That's a big no no and will result in you being expelled from GWPSIII forever. Follow all of the tables hosts rules, and have fun!

Ok. Now onto business.

This game is open to anyone on the Play Money server. Sadly there won't be a game on the real money server, so if you're newly registered, you'll have to sit this game out.

If you think you can make it to this game, feel free to post below. We'd like to get everyone that's playing in early, so in the event of multiple tables being neccessary, we can divide them up before the zero hour. So post below if you're in!

Ug I feel stupid asking this question , i'm sure it's been posted somewhere already but how do you know when you're on the play server . When I first registered I was able to play on both Hold 'Em (real) and Hold 'Em (play) . Where does it say what server you are on ?

I'm off tonight and thursday, but normally i think it will be just mondays off. I cook 3 nights a week, and deliver the other 3 nights.

Sadly, I don't think there will be any games on Monday Nights. Monday is 24/Wrestling night, so I'm not usually at the computer. And even though my co hosts are perfectly capable of hosting, this series is my baby. And I usually ask them not to host on nights I can't be there. Even if I'm not playing I like to watch and oversee things so everything runs smoothly.

I may host one early in the day on a Monday sometime, but Monday nights will generaly be a no-go. Sorry man.

I included all people who put a maybe, and divided them up RANDOMLY. (We have a system for dividing for multiple tables.) And right now, these are how the tables will be divided. Obviously if some people don't show up, or more people come along, I'll divide the people up on the fly. I made a note of the reserved seats, which means any other seat is open. (For example, Brian's usual seat at my table will be open, since he'll be at another game.)

Continue to post if you think you can make it, and we'll divide you up as we go, and I'll edit this post.

If the tables are already seating when you decide you can play (if you don't already have a seat) either post here, or IM me on AIM or MSN (contacts in my profile.) DO NOT JUST COME TO A TABLE, YOU WILL BE REJECTED.

Well, I'm currently owning the free roll. First out of 91 players left. I know it won't be over by 8... and if I am still doing well it probably won't be over by 9. But I have to say, I got robbed. Chap sucked out on me when I had pocket Aces TWICE. He was short stacked, and to be honest, he made the right call. With only 400 dollars, he went in with AK once, and QJ the second time. Both time I had Aces, and both times he sucked out. It just BLOWS that he sucked me out TWICE the same exact way. Then Jawni...well, I'm gonna be nice and bite my tongue. But I'll just say this, every game I play of the GWPS, it becomes obvious who the INTERNET players are, and who the real players are.

Hmm, yeah. I did fold almost every hand in the begining of the game and and after that. Try playing poker starting from 4am. I was out of coffee too. It''s always fun when you notice that in the middle of calling a hand your eyes start to close and you're taken to laalaa land for few seconds. Messes up your mind not to mention your game.

But anyways, I'll take a nap or something the next time there's a game. Time difference is such a wonderful thing, especially when you live in Finland and most in the US. I'm in +2 hours GMT, that's +7 from eastern time.

So, enough excuses and whatnot. After this week, I'll only be playing in the weekends. Schools a pain in the ass and I do need sleep sometimes. We'll see about that internet player the next time, Cole. That is, if you still are up to me.

They've seen it. I can, will, and often times DO play from the moment I wake up, to the moment I go to sleep. And as far as how many hands you played, you probably played 10 the entire game. I think you misunderstood what I was going for. Its not that I didn't want to play, its that I was shortstacked for most of the game and was hoping that the time issue would help me instead of forcing me to play a hand I didn't want to. Because I live on the West Coast I can use time to my advantage every now and then. This was one of those times where I needed it. Because every time I got a hand, someone else had a better one i.e. when I beat Cole twice, I thought he was gonna find someone to kill me the second time it happened.
