GWPS: Game 8 : 1/17 : 10PM Eastern

All right. Game 8 will be on Tuesday Night. The table opening at 9, and starting at 10.

As usual, I have not convened with my cohosts so I don't know whether or not they will be there, post here if you think you'll make it and if I need to host back to back tables I shall do that.

Once again, here are a reminder on the rules.

- You sit in with 1000 dollars, no more, no less.
- When you lose that 1000 dollars, that is IT. If you leave and come back with more money, you will be expelled from the GWPS.
- The table host is your god. If one of us says that you can not come back to the table after sitting out or disconnecting, and you DO come back and sit in, you will be expelled from the GWPS.
- If I see anyone fighting over seats, you get slapped in the head by me.

I have the date saved into my cellphone. I didn't realize how many people would max out on sit-ins so early, or I would've made this a LOT shorter. I set it up so people could average 1 sit in a week. But four people are FILLED already. So. Go figure. Next time we get it right.

The only thing is, I had 62.50 remaining when that sh*t started happening. I knew it was going to happen, too, when my computer wouldn't even load the graphics for the room my first couple tries. It took me long enough, and I had to plead Cole for five minutes. While I didn't think that would be enough time, it proved to be.

...And I've been able to battle back to a pretty decent chip stack from being down that low before. I didn't think I'd win, but I know I could've got points from last night, concidering shortkut got out while I was kicked out.

To let those who don't know, actually know. I kind of got disconnected, but was still in the room, and my sit in button was missing. So, I couldn't sit back in.

I'm still pissed, because now, I'll only feel secure if I win the next game. I wouldn't have had to if I placed third last night, and gotten two points. That would've been enough, IMO.

EDIT: Nice CT. Too bad yours has nothing to do with your name. WHOO!

I stopped doing that after the incident with slick. True I don't always closely follow the game, but it flashes on my computer when a join request is made.

Sorry Dan, but you'll have to wait in line behind slick for another sit-in. His case was a lot fuzzier...but like I told him, I know how much it sucks. It's not fair to you, but if you got reinstated it wouldn't be fair to everybody else at the table and at other tables. We just have to try and minimize the suckiness, so to speak.

I like how the POTS is playing out... there are actually some variations in points and standings. I'm dead-last in the standings and in the middle of the pack in POTS... still not anything to brag about, though.

I did dominate a sit n' go at AP right after I busted last night. Went into heads-up down 4:1, tied it on a marginal hand and made a tremendous read to outkick the guy for the win. I'll be back in the saddle again.[/Aerosmith]

No, you're right, it would be retarded. But I agree that it should be less time available. Put the pressure on people. 6 weeks is a long time when most people are averaging at least a game a week. And when this many people finish halfway through, that's just more reason to do it.

Well as I said, when me and Tom were deciding how many weeks to add, we were originally going to add a lot less time. But we decided that we didn't want to FORCE people to play like 3 times a week, so we'd set it up so the MAXIMUM you'd have to play to get all your sit-ins was once a week. But considering how many people played nearly every game, we'll go with less.

But there's a good chance that for the next tournament it will be "by invitation only". We'll pick the most active members, we'll set up a REAL tournament (in the sense that you show up to THIS game on THIS day at THIS time) that way we can set up brackets and do it like that. Like a tournament of champions.

I remember discussing it with Cole but don't remember what we agreed on. I think that it should count seeing as you were good enough to get onto the extra table.
