Seeing as most people seem to be ignoring this thread, i'll spell it out - in threads where the topic is along the lines of "what is your favourite song/band/album etc", people posting these things as lists without any explanation or reasoning will be warned for SPAM. don't say you haven't been warned. we're not asking you to write an essay every time you post, but we do want at least a few words, just to stop the posts being completely redundant.

Further on this line, don't post threads that are too broad, such as..."Discuss country bands here". Without starting a discussion yourself you aren't really adding anything to the forum.
This includes topics such as "Anyone else here like <insert band/artist name here>???" The answer is probably YES. There's bound to be a few fans of any musical act here, it's a given. SAY something; if you just got into them ask which album is the strongest and WHY. If you like 'em already and want to spread the word, make a little writeup and explain who they sound like, and WHY you like them.
The bottom line is to incite discussion, not lists, or directionless voids.

Remember the "post your entire playlist here" thread? Just pages upon pages of song-titles that noone in their right mind would sit up all night to read.
This is a direct example of what NOT to post. lol.
