Please do not discuss any titles that take place chronologically later than this one. We’ll get to them all soon enough, so there’s no reason to spoil it for anyone else (most notably... me :tease2:.)

This was the book that I love to hate.

Getting this extra-deep look at Harrar the priest and, more important Nen Yim whom we discover is actually Riina Kwaad’s (Tahiri’s Vong counterpart) memory donor was incredibly cool… then having them be killed was incredibly uncool. It was just a cruel tease to have so much open up towards the end of the series and then immediately be slammed back in our faces.

Han Solo going medieval on that pirate group was freakin’ sweet… beating that guy upside the head… totally cool.

And the whole business about the Vong and Zonama Sekot is really cool, too… I’m very interested to see how that all turns out… I’d much prefer to do it with Nen Yim, but no such luck :(

And I realize that Nom Anor is likely going to die at some point in the next 600 pages, but he’s really just been around way too long and it’s getting a bit dull following him everywhere. I wouldn’t have minded seeing him kick it in this book, leaving the final book open for more stuff, though I’m certain I won’t be too disappointed.

I don’t look forward to any stories involving Corran training Tahiri… just when she was starting to get kinda cool she gets paired up with one of my least favorite Jedi :shake:

Still, despite all of the things I hated about it, I loved this book :)

I liked the thing with Nen Yim, Nom Anor should have died, and some parts of that story seemed completely useless, but hopefully the Unifying Force will tie it together. *goes off to read the Unifying Force*
