Okay, heres the story. I just got back from unbanning, because i was underage. Okay, so now i am under ZT. I put an Image in my sig, and Blind Guardian had made it for me. He said that was good, and if i wanted text, make it size one. So, i did that. he said it would be perfect size. Then, i get 3 PM's. one from Lawson, One from RedRooster, and One From BlakkDragon. They all said it was too big. So i said, id change it by tonight, since the computer i am on now, from my mothers house. is really slow. So, everytime i went to go To paint or Photobucket to get the picture it didnt work. i was about to explain that to Lawson, when i get a pm saying
"Don't worry about it, BG and I decided not to let you have a sig anymore because you've had alot of problems with it in the past. We don't want you to have too many things to worry about since your grades have been slipping"
Okay, i dont know if lawson knows, but since when is lawson my father? He is not in control of my personal llife. i told him yes, my grades are slipping, but its my father's decision to take me off the internet or not. No one on this site should be able to take away privelages because of a personal thing in MY life.

Hmm.
I thought ruling to take away a signature has to be a 24-hour advanced warning?

I don't think if he has had problems in the past. I don't think your grades had anything to do the removal of your sig.

Dont worry, BG said he would allow my sig to return.

Holy sh*t, kid. Sure, you don't have any actual signature warnings in your usernotes, but I've repeatedly told you in the past that your signatures were too long. More than a couple times your ASCII art was over the limit, and on more than one occasion you've had oversize ASCII art plus a line or two of regular text.
And yes, shortkut had it right. I was being sarcastic about your grades. I couldn't care less if you flunked out of school and had a kid already, that's your deal in your own personal life. All I care about here on GW is what happens on GW.
About your banning...I have no f*cking clue why Ben decided to unban you. He said he was being generous, so you should be kissing his feet about now. You have three warnings (enough for a ban), but better yet, two of them were in a ZT forum. Plus you were underage. One more slipup between now and October and you've got yourself a nice little IP ban. And you'll lose your precious usergroups! :(

I hate your last sig poseidon, that noob torture is a disgrace to other registered members. IT SHALL NEVER BE USED AGAIN!

I know Lawson is just doing his job as a mod but that sounds kind of harsh, now till october? Thats like 5 months, hey poseidon i got a good suggestion, just stay out of GW and dont be really active in GW until october is over.

The zero tolerance wasn't my decision. If it was up to me, Poseidon would still be banned.

I believe in his sig that he had it said he was on LOA until October. Haha kinda funny. But seriously it doesnt matter if they took your sig out. You have had previous troubles with it so they decided to take it out, seems fair enough.

I never got a 24 hour notice for my sig. It was take it off and it was gone. mY OTHER USER NAME (rAIN_maN) was banned because I had 4 or 5 small pics. I didnt get a notice or anything. WhY>

Images in sigs are probably a ZT thing right now...

Especially with yours, 699.45kb... that was huge.
It should be the members responsibilty to be able to differentiate the difference between following the rules or breaking them.

well, 700kb in a sig really is inexcusable.

I know. Seriously if you know your image is gonna be large just save it as a .gif.
Simple.

Pretty much, but I don't see why they're banning people over it. That's way too extreme of a punishment to give on something most of us are unfamiliar with. Sure, delete their sig once, and if it happens again soon, remove their signature rights. But damn, don't ban them if they don't have any serious previous offenses.
Also, Chaos, your signature, however cool it may be, is 13 kb over the limit, which is 25kb. It's within the physical boundaries but is over in terms of space it takes up on the server. You have 24 hours to remove or fix it.

Regardless of what people actually think about the rules, they were there for all to see and were clear. It is still your responsibility to follow them, and us giving you a 24 hour warning on things like signatures is just leniency on our part. It is us giving you a chance and you should take it as such- it should not be an expected standard.
Having said that I do also think that banning people for signature offences is excessive. I think that removing the signature is punishment enough, with removing signature rights being an adequate punishment for people who break the rules persistently. As far as I am aware the administrators are relaxing the punishments, and you're now seeing more and more people with that red message in their signatures telling them to observe the rules. However, there will still be bannings for people with signatures that go way over the limit.

Isn't this a tad unfair for people who were banned previously?

THE PEOPLE MUST REMAIN UNEDUCATED!
This uhh...never happened. The users you once knew as Sabator and Dark Sabator are/were/and always have been weather balloons.Isn't this a tad unfair for people who were banned previously?
What's stopping them from posting anything here? They feel the subjects of wrongdoing, so I see no reason they can't protest their cause here.

Uh...yeah. Something happened while I was optimizing it in Photoshop and I guess it didn't save how I wanted it. Should be fixed now.
Sorry about that.

Isn't this a tad unfair for people who were banned previously? To be frank, yes it is. But the only person who has actually brought a case who has been banned for it was Leandros, who also had a number of other 'issues' against his name. Suffice to say he was asking for it, and he knows that better than anyone. And to be honest the only other people that I have actually checked on that have been banned after a signature related offence were people who either broke basic signature rules as well, or who were on the verge of a banning previously.
If other people who have been banned want to come forward, giving links to their banned name and stating their case, I will be more than happy to review it. Everyone should know by know that I am even handed dealing with cases, and I don't like seeing bad decisions made on behalf of the moderator team. If I actually think someone has a case for being unbanned (i.e. the signature offense was their only breach of the rules or trouble related incident) then I will have no hesitation in bringing it up with the administrators. If they make the effort in bringing a case I will make the effort to review it.
