Grim Reaper Tournament Rules, News, and Standing

This thread will be used to track the progress of the Grim Reaper Tournament, Gamewinners' oldest standing C&CW tournament, which will be renewed following the conclusion of the current tournament. This will, for now on, become an ongoing tournament with a 1 week interlude between the conclusion of one and the beginning of the next. Signups will be taken up to 16 fighters. The standing champion will be guaranteed a slot in the next tournament. All other slots will be first come, first serve.

Signups are closed and the match threads are posted. Get to slaughtering!


Also, as a note: Do not use this thread for Grim Reaper Tournament Signups. A separate thread will be made for such when the necessary time comes for such. This will be a thread specifically for the refs and mods to regularly check on the status of all fights within the tournament by simply checking one thread. All posts otherwise will be deleted on sight.

Wait, wasn't coldfyre the last Grim Reaper? I thought it was her and Lucifer fighting, but my memory might be fuzzy from it.

Yes, she is. :P I was thinking her, too, but there's so few females on C&CW and for some reason Angel's name popped to mind.

Well, Cfy is retired so she doesn't really care. I don't think SA cared that her name was up there, I think she actually liked it:P

Actually, you are wrong in saying that Coldfyre is the Grim Reaper. She abdicated the title in our fight, and I said that I didn't want to carry it, so truly no one holds the title.

Just thought I'd return to fix this. Time to redisappear.

(and sorry for my unfinished fights from my miniscule comeback over the summer...but I remembered that I had some summer reading to do for my freshman year of college...and it stole all of my time)

I think I lost in the Semi-finals for the Grim Reaper title awhile back against Insanefly...or it might have been to Xellos...either way, I know for a fact that Xellos had it at some point. Anyone else I don't know about.

question... this topic is supposed to have the rules... but I don't see them. might someone clarify the rules of the tournament?

The rules are basically just what it says up there, that the tournament will be an ongoing thing with one week between the conclusion of one tournament and the start of a new one. The tournament matches are decided by random selection. I just ask someone to start picking pairs of numbers between 1 and 16 to decide the matches.
