Do ya' mind maybe pointing out the thread that you got warned in or something? A little evidence to support your "case"?
Didn't think so.

He doesn't have a case, he is asking for help. And to be quite frank if more people who got warned for SPAM were apologetic and asked for help like him this site would be a lot better. It would also be better without pointlessly derogatory posts like yours.
And Alex here is a brief summary of the rules. SPAM is often defined as Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages and can be for any number of things. You can get a SPAM warning for posting off topic, bumping a dead topic, double posting with no good reason, one or two word replies in some forums, or posting for the sake of posting. Looking at your posts since you joined I would guess that you got warned for something to do with posting for the sake of it. A lot of what you posted has been borderline SPAM that I've seen, although it's never been bad enough in any of my forums to warn you.
Just take this as a learning experience, and only post in future if you have something constructive to say. Don't post for the sake of it.

Crazy Jamie - as chivalrous as you are for defending Alex Hilton, he has clearly not read the rules of GameWinners.com, and he is apologising for something he does not know the meaning of. Although it is nice for people who break the rules to apologise, it would be nicer if they read the rules first and didn't commit the crime at all.
I have witnessed very few of Alex Hilton's posts, but every single one of them bar the one in this thread is either a one/two word wonder or a single word and a smiley.
I do not believe that people who do not read the rules of the forums before posting should be spared from the wrath of people like Retrospect (who has a funny signature, might I add... :chuckle:), as it is a wrath brought upon themselves by themselves. It isn't Retrospect's fault that Alex Hilton did not read the rules of the site.
No SPAM: SPAM is posting just for the sake of raising your post count or posting something that is not relevant to the topic at hand. This includes one word replies (where not appropriate), a totally off-topic post or thread, and bumping dead topics.
That is a very well explained version of what SPAM is. I do not believe anyone who has reached the thirteen years of age required to join the site would be able to misinterpret that explanation.

Although it is nice for people who break the rules to apologise, it would be nicer if they read the rules first and didn't commit the crime at all.
It would also be nice if everyone who broke the rules made an effort to understand them so that they didn't break them again. Regardless of what you think there are plenty of people who are new to the internet in general that do not understand the notion of what SPAM is. This guy has unknowlingly broken the rules and has asked for help in understanding them. To me that makes him worthy of a little help. That would at least give him a chance of becoming a good solid member rather than just heading down the short road to being banned. And I'm sure you'd agree with me when I say that I'd rather have a good member on this site in place of one more tick in the 'banned' column.
With regards to your defence of Retrospect I have no problem with defending another member based on principles that you believe were right. But it should interest you to know that I was only condemning that one post because it was needlessly derogatory, and not Retrospect himself. I actually consider him to be a very good member on this site, a view of mine that he did justice to by PMing me to apologise for his post.
