Not only does this make it easier for the people who can help you, but you'll likely get help quicker if no one has to ask "What game are you playing?"

1. Please put the name of the game you are playing in the thread title. The location of a certain chocolate frog card in PoA is not much help in CoS. You can just use abbreviations (because long topic titles suck).

SS-Sorceror's Stone
CoS-Chamber of Secrets
PoA-Prisonner of Azkaban
QWC-Quidditch World Cup

2. In your post mention the console you are playing on. As far as I understand it, the PS2, GC, and Xbox (and even the PC) versions have few differences, but there is also the GBA (Gameboy Advanced) version which is likely different. Again, this info can be helpful.

3. In your post please explain clearly where you are, and what your problem is. (I.E. Game. Challenge name. Day. Location. Stuff like that.) Detail=good. It helps people situate the problem.

4. If you are really REALLY impatient (in which case you have likely not read all of this, hence why I wrote this last. :D), try to find the answer yourself. It beats spending three hours of frustration trying to beat a trio of hinkypinks, at any rate. If you think that you can find what you want by checking a walkthrough, I suggest: www.gamefaqs.com or you could always check the www.gamewinners.com main site.
