In 3019 of the Third Age, the kingdom of Rohan was attacked by the forces of Saruman. Could it have been prevented? Everyone knew an attack was coming. Yet where was the so-called 'king of men,' Aragorn, son of Arathorn? Answer: Up north smoking pipeweed.
Gondor's new unelected king then used the attack at Helm's Deep to launch an unjustified war against Mordor. There was no connection between Helm's Deep and Mordor. And Saruman, who was the one who actually attacked Rohan, is a member of the same order of wizards as Gandalf the Grey, chief advisor to the unelected king.
Why did Aragorn refuse to examine the connection between the Order of Wizards and Helm's Deep? Why did the so-called Fellowship manipulate the lands of Middle-Earth to form a coalition of the willing against Mordor? Oil. It was all about oil.
:rotfl:
Hmm. My summary is not half bad. :D
