Greetings and salutations! With the advent of the News Section, we've thought about starting up a Fanfiction and Original Stories collection. This means we need YOU, the forumers, to participate! Hawk (http://forums.gamewinners.com/forums/member.php?u=16004) will be the editor for this part of the site. Let's go over the process, shall we?
1. You, the writer, must have at least one chapter done of said story.
2. The stories will be posted in HTML format. It would do me a GREAT service if you were to convert it beforehand. If not, I'll run it through Frontpage's automatic conversion tool, but the results may not be what you expected. I'll try and be nice, though.
3. Send said file to dragonmasterhawk (AT) gmail (DOT) com as an attachment. If you're sending more than one chapter, send them all as different files. If you know how, just use multiple attachments for one email. Or, if you don't, send multiple emails.
4. Information to send: title, game which the story (if it's a fanfiction) is derived from, rating (G through R; if you don't know how that rating system works, don't worry about it), genre (most applicable for original stories, but do it for fanfictions as well, as a general courtesy), a brief summary (optional, but if you do, try and make it legible), and, if you have a lot of time on your hands, Word Count.
5. There can (and probably will) be R rated stories. But GW will not be host to degrading things whose sole purpose is to shock and...*sigh*..."tantalize." Sex should have a reason for being there. Go on, be creative, I know you can do it. This also goes for ultra violence. This is not an attempt at censorship. If guns have to be blazing every moment of every chapter, I'd like to know WHY.
6. I have no idea how popular this will be, but I'll try and read all the fanfictions and give them my own rating. And, if I particularly like them, they get "Hawk's Seal of Yayness."
7. I'M ONLY ONE MAN (child). Please be patient. And some fanfictions are LONG (though I'm not expecting TOO many of those), and take a days just to get through. I do have other things I work on, so please...be gentle.
