Okay, now I'm sure some of you guys have gotten some sort of injury from DDR. I know I have. So come here and report your worst injury, so others can get a laugh or two. Heck! I'll let you guys laugh at this one.

MY STORY:
I was teaching one of my friends how to do it, so I put MaxX Unlimited on Light. You know, just to show him how it's done. Well, I turn around to see if he's paying attention, then turn back to the screen, lose my balance, twist my ankle and fall.

Okay, I told mine, now how about you?

well, I haven't had that many bad things happen to me with DDR, but I have gotten my hand stomped on by someone playin the game, and I tried to do songs on heavy, while eating donuts. I woulda been fine with the eating the donut part, and the heavy part, but I have really long hair and I wasen't using anything to hold it back at the moment so I started to choke on my own hair.....

This one time I was playing around, so I categorized the songs by grabbing the bar and jump kicking the two arrow buttons with both my feet. I kinda slipped. I didn't get hurt, but I almost killed myself >.>

I saw a classic the other day. Some guy was doing a variety of (not very difficult) songs, but holding onto the bar only half the time for some reason. Anyway to cut a long story short he lent back onto the bar one time and missed, resulting in a comical yet painful looking fall. That's what you get for bar raping.

I don't know if this counts but I got a persistant back problem, so the bar is my friend, though people still nag me as the serial bar rapist.

The bar = my one and only friend.

How exactly does arching your back so you can hold on to the bar help your back problem? :hmm:

One time at school I was free styling something (forgot the song) and clipped my foot on the edge of the pad doing a simple jump turn. I cut my foot and had to go get a bandage. When I go back they yelled at me for bleeding on the pad...and then I had to clean it out.

I have a couple of DDR related accidents...

I was trying to play MAXX UNLIMITED when I caught my foot on the bar. I fell and landed face first on the edge of the pad and I had to get stitches.

Another time was in the same arcade a few months later. I had just beaten SAKURA for the very first time. I was so happy that I started jumping up and down. I slipped on the up arrow and left a big crack on the game screen. The owner made me pay for the damage.:bashhead:

Not a clue. Wish I knew. Rhyme not intended. :P

As long as I'm here, I remember a couple times I've gotten injured playing DDR. First time is when I was playing a relatively fast song (I think) in the arcade, and I somehow managed to completely fall off the pad. I don't think I got any serious injuries, but it hurt. <_<
The other time I can remember is when I tried to do the knee-drop thing on the last note of the song I was playing, and accidentally banged my knee into one of the screwheads around the arrow instead. I then proceeded to do the same thing on the same knee on the next song. <_< I decided against trying it on the others, at least.

I could AAA every song in that game with my penis.

Well... He DID post that like over 2 months ago. And even then, he said that it was months before that. So I'd assume he passed it over half a year ago. Besides, you can't get at someone for not being able to pass a song. It takes more time for some people.

Damn... What the hell arcade do you play in?

Well, this isn't DDR but here goes.

I finally, FINALLY beat Bark at the Moon (Guitar Hero's answer to Maxx Unlimited) on Expert. I screamed with joy, and threw my arms into the air, forgetting about my running ceiling fan and my low ceiling...I couldn't play piano, GH, or actual guitar for a week...

On another note, I hit my friend in the head with the head of the controller while activating star power. I failed the song soon after as he hit me straight back.

And this isn't my injury, but while I was trying DDR for the first time, I got frustrated, and jumped up and down rather hard on all of the buttons, and kinda ruining it. I bought my friend a new one though. :)

I have that soft mat that you use at home, so I had the really old type. And those mats move, I'm not kidding, they move around, especially when you jump a lot or press a lot of arrows. So I was doing a kind of fast song and there was finally about 3 seconds with no arrows so I myself back into the center of the mat. Bad move. When I was in the air performing jump onto the right and left arrow, I hit my foot on the table and fell over.

I was playing DDR at home on one of those plastic dance pads during a Saturday night, and we all KNOW that's an accident in the making right there. XD

Well, I playing an extremely slow song in front of my friends (I can't remember which song exactly, you'll see why in a second) and I was feeling a bit "daring" since I saw one of my buddies tear up one of the faster songs (Healing Vision, I believe it was) in style. Trying to show him up, I attempted to hit the last step of the song with my hand by doing a "C-Grab" (Basically, a handstand on one hand, while arching your legs and grabbing them with the other hand) on that particular step. However, during mid-action I realized that I can't even do a handstand, so I ended the song doing a faceplant. x_x Despite my horrible move, I was told that what I did was "very entertaining" to watch. Never again will I try to show off on a dance pad. >.>

XD I barely missed the note, but I still ended up with an "A" since slow songs are easy like that.

I was playing on the plastic mat at my friends house and I fall and hurt my knee but I refused to lose to him so I started playing using my hands and the funny part was I won that song.

On the Wii once, I was playing golf. I swung the "Wii-Mote", and my hand hit my bedpost. That hurt!

I have a few very good ones. The first being when i decided to try and show off and do Afronova backwards, only to realise that the mat was rolling up. A bit late when i slipped and landed o nthe floor chipping a tooth.

Once decided to play when i had my boots on in an arcade, bascally fell and twisted my ankle.

I also once played on the hard mat in bare feet and almost (although i think i did) broke my toe because i hit the mat too hard

Weirdly, I have a Wii-window related injury. Playing boxing, I obviously hadn't tightened the wrist strap enough. it flew off, smashing my front room window (!) and i cut myself on the glass clearing up the resulting mess.

Probably the most expensive gaming-related injury. a few hundred pounds to replace a window all thanks to Wii Sports (which I haven't played since)
