Hey everyone,

I was recently contacted by a student of the University of Pennsylvania with a request to post a link to a survey he created as part of a course.

He's aiming to get the opinions of real gamers, not just lab rats, so, that's where you guys come into play. Please take 15 minutes of your time to read and complete this survey for Alex. Your participation will be appreciated.

I will certainly post the results of my study when I finish it, which should be in the next two weeks. With the response rate that I am getting, my results should be robust enough to make some good conclusions. Thanks to everyone for helping me out!

Seems kind of weird that no one thought the survey was sort of mis leading. If you ask a yes or no question then it is assu,ed that some will answer yes, and some will answer no.

The problem I have is why does it matter if video game players skip school to play. You are implying that it is the games fault. That's not what you're doing is it?

That's not what you're doing is it?We have no idea why he is doing it- you'd be amazed at the amount of different conclusions you can draw from seemingly unrelated questions. It could be about the effect of video games on students, or related to age, or whether people who lose their temper are more likely to skip school to play games. We just don't know.

I have to say I thought that it was a well constructed and easy to follow questionnaire and I quite enjoyed it. As with a lot of other people I'd like to see what you find out from us all!

That was a good surbey, but the assumption was made that the taker had easy access to a social area, which I don't, since I live in the sticks and I have no license.

i liked the survey, though i do got from it that they were looking for way harcore gamers, much more so than i. but i agree with crazy jamie (for once), the survey wasn't difficult or making conclusions, that what people do. the comp is makingjudgements on the whole picture. man, i'm just regurgitating what jamie said.

I liked the survey, except for the yes or no questions at the end. Not so long ago I posted a poll in the Everything or Nothing section for my Technical Writing class. Unfortunatedly, not enough people answered in time and I had to alter the results before I handed in the project. :)

I took it, I got rarely and sometimes a lot. I get aggrivated but I don't swing off into rage so I was kind of stuck. Also, I used to play D2 so I put no, since I don't anymore.
