Yes, you really have to pay posts. For everyone else, it's free, but you... it'll cost ya. ;)
Jk, members have to pay 1000 posts for a name change. Al made this rule to cut down on the people requesting name changes.

The problem is that some Forums do need a new mod, but no one notices, and then when you PM an admin about it, it looks like you're wanting/asking to become a mod.

But you see, I did PM someone. Mark.

He didn't take it as me asking/wanting to be a mod, but you can easily hide that online. I don't know if it hurt my chances any, but it certainly didn't increase them, either.

Well, it isn't easy. My good friend Twilight Omni said that when he first modded there wasn't even a necessity to have a poll. I mean the forums I visit have moderators that don't even post/go there anymore. I don't want to force myself in, but I think the admins should take consideration of this.

I haven't seem MasterDuncan at all in the Gamewinners forum, and the last thing announcement was there was from Matt when he was The Joking and Riddling Mod.

There is no way we have the time to look over every forum and inspect the mod's posts. We rely on you guys to help us out. Every time I get a PM from a member about an inactive mod, I check it out. And personally, no I don't think its someone just wanting to be a mod unless they add the little 'I'd be happy to mod it' line in their PM.
